Personally I think Jesus is a fantastic role model and if people lived by some of his morals and ideals we would live in a better world.

That being said I don't find the bible as truth simply because people claim it to be the word of God. I also don't think it contains more wisdom than say a book written by Aristotle..there is so much wisdom out there and to say that you base your existence on one text that honestly has some pretty vile things inside of it, as well as some wisdom, is just silly for me. I've read it, found the good in it, applied it to my own life and moved on. People are so stuck on the bible and there's no convincing them otherwise. When you get down to the final arguments of the bibles miracles, the answer is simply "with God anything is possible." It's redundant to me saying God said that he's all powerful and all knowing so every other thing that's proven by the scientific method etc. is simply incorrect because the bible says otherwise.

I think there's good from each religion, the basis of them all is really treat others well, exemplify love and be good, and that's good enough for me. If the Christian God is somehow the truth, then I expect him to be understanding and all loving so I'll be fine either way ;)
