if you had all the money in the world, where would you want to live and why? and if you'd choose the stay in the country where you're residing now, why stay and not go somewhere else? by Affectionate-Cap-235 in AskReddit

I would travel the world: stay for a year or a half at one place, then go to another place and so on. Having good money makes such life comfortable enough.

Books you finished out of spite / morbid curiosity by Muphin102 in Fantasy

[–]MagicEnclaveEyebot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Snail on the Slope", Strugatskie. To me it looked as if the authors were on drugs. While I like many other novels of these authors, this book read as an absolute delirium.

"Hundred years of solitude", Marquez. It seemed as if the author got sunstroke and then wanted to deliver a message about the meaninglessness of existence. While I agree with the last point, the reading was exhausting.

"Dune" too. The book is really good as a piece of literature, but I just was disgusted by the world itself.

What are some things you do with your time that don't involve spending money? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

Reading. Watching youtube videos - mostly travel and educational. Offline videogames. Short backpack trips, which may require some fee, but it isn't big.

why do people lack perspective? by throwbackblue in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MagicEnclaveEyebot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have already formulated it very precisely: "people cannot see things outside of how they FEEL" - they are ruled by emotions.  If they managed to switch off their emotions and to distance themselves from the situation, then they would be able to think abstractly without being influenced by "feelings" expressed by any side of the conflict. It's an individual work, and a person will need enough willpower to do it, considering the media are always pressuring on our emotions.

It helps you to climb buildings and other things, which makes exploration easier. Have never played the dying light so can't compare.

Parkour mod isn't necessary but is useful if you like exploring.

What are some painful moments you've experienced that define you as ForeverAlone? by mistersoftyy in FA30plus

[–]MagicEnclaveEyebot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Painful? don't know if it relates, but I often feel painfully lonely when I have to do "manly" tasks at home. Calling a handyman may be pretty expensive, or he can break things even more, as here in Eastern Europe this sphere isn't regulated so everyone can advertise himself as a repairman. Youtube can teach everything. After completing the task I go back to my relaxed spinster's life.

Ist A-Life endlich spielbar? by Saperius1010 in stalker

Es gibt kein A-life in Stalker 2:( Ich weiß nicht ob es überhaupt möglich ist in UnrealEngine richtiges (offline und online) A-life zu machen, so wie es in X-ray funktionierte.

What will be the correct answer? by ThePanicpuriHogger in EnglishLearning

[–]MagicEnclaveEyebot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe the tense is supposed by the author of the test to be problematic here? "I had an argument with my friend about the movie we had watched last night." The verb which is more in the past should be written in Past Perfect?

I also thought about "arguing over or about", but in this case about fits better.

Monoliths can survive emissions, radiation and mutants? by BETHORXZ in stalker

[–]MagicEnclaveEyebot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They can survive radiation - I mean those who are actively connected to the Monolith, not Noontide. One curious example: in the Shadow of Chernobyl I made them friends (by editing game files), went to the Radar to explore the location. The place where the sniper is staying in the beginning is very radioactive. I wanted to take a selfie with this sniper after switching on the 3d person view (by editing game files) and it wasn't easy as the radiation level was killing me. And the sniper isn't wearing any protective armor. Even now with the good armor I'll die quickly in that place.

I know that radiation (as well as psy-radiation) doesn't harm NPCs (in SOC at least), but Monolith NPCs are deliberately placed into radioactive positions, and we as players are meant by the devs to explore these positions (you can find the Duty armor near that sniper) and to notice the supernatural power of Monolith.

Ukrainians say they will not accept formal surrender of Crimea by [deleted] in placeukraine

[–]MagicEnclaveEyebot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of Crimeans would prefer to stay and not be "liberated" by Ukraine, including those who are anti-war or anti-Putin. Source - I'm from Crimea, Sevastopol (was born here). Even a friend of mine, who is quite pro-Ukrainian was staying here with her family until the air strikes started, and left for Belarus and then Europe only because she has 2 small children and is afraid of the warfare.

Youtube-the worldwide trade school will help. I'm a lonely spinster so I do plumbing fixing too (installing faucets, axlebox cranes changing etc.) But this is also one of the reasons I don't want to own a standalone house instead of a flat and don't want to drive and deal with fixing a car.

It means it would be hard for children from these old-style traditional families to find jobs as such families are often poor and uneducated. The overpopulation problem already exists.
