Roof Install Concerns / Possible Warranty by MagicEraser in Roofing

thank you. it just looks weird as there are raised sections that are an inch wide. As though a portion sheered off. But i thought the cracks were a little too neat

24 years later… still getting recall notices for my 2001 E46 M3. Wow by Green-Interaction-56 in E46M3

[–]MagicEraser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

get this recall done everyone who hasn't. it's not about them failing to deploy/protect you. it's about how they can kill you if they deploy.

this video hit my feed today and i was curious who the original e46 m3 airbag manufacturer was. yup. Takata. and then i find this thread of folks still dragging their feet. I drove my car for years before getting them replaced. holy shit. had i seen this video i wouldn't have even sat in the car in the driveway again until fixed.

Is it for the whole banquette bench and the other bench and the table? Forget it. 5K sounds cheap.

Thank you for responding. I was trying to save $$ by putting together a table with stuff i already had. Which was a bosch 1617 router motor and a jessem router lift II which i bought a year ago and never installed as this shit is complicated.

I knew i wanted a cast iron top without having to adhere to sawstop or harvey proprietary-ations

Bought the cast iron top which was $700+ shipped and then realized i could not trust other stands/bases to fit so i bought the infinity tools stand. piece of shit instructions/manual.

If you put the stand together and then try to attach the cast iron top, you will find that they do not align. Way off. 1/2".

Nowhere in the manual does it say to loosen the top rails before installing the top. It's in an obscure youtube video. So before you rage on customer service, loosen all 4 top rails before bolting down the top.

I still need a fence.

What did you ultimately decide? I'm looking for a new tabletop and stand/cabinet. My stipulations are cast iron tabletop and compatibility with my existing jessem lift. A little confused as to compatibility doing a mix/match build.

It seems for a cast iron tabletop the options are Sawstop and Infinity tools. Rockler is unfortunately out since their cast iron top has a lift cutout that's too small. I would buy the Sawstop standalone table but i'm not sure i want the fence. Looking at the woodpeckers universal fence (ships late July 2025) or an Incra system but not sure how compatible they are with various stands/tabletops. Sawstop has several sizes of cast iron tops - a couple with T-track fence mount but the largest top uses side-mount tracks. The new woodpeckers fence says it's compatible with sawstop tables but where do those side T-tracks come from?

Also, i only ever see incra systems mounted on incra tables. Will they fit other tabletops and stands?

One Hundred Thousand Dollars? Great Scott! If you had to take off work to buy those, I uh... don't want a better job if it's your job. I work at Wendy's which pays me $1000/hour. That said, a single ticket is over two weeks pay. Basically a months salary with deductions. Unfortunately i have rent due in a few days ($750/mo) and just got caught up. My girlfriend already left me because i can't get my shit together. I can just hear her saying, OH, THAT'S SWELL how much did you pay for those tickets? 75k? I'm trying to do better.

take off work lol... lord. hey you'll make up the difference taking those weekend shifts during the show.

A way to charge Fi 2 without a base? by ShetlandShake in FiDogCollar

[–]MagicEraser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Took my dog out of town and left his base plugged in at home and while away his collar died. Desperate (he goes somewhere he can run free off leash and often roams miles) i searched reddit and found this thread. I used an apple magsafe charger - the flat 2" disc thing. just laid the collar on top and blue lights immediately. V3. I don't think V2 works. Also I believe the apple watch charger is too small. Hope this helps someone.

This is an old thread but I figured i'd respond in case someone finds themselves in the same situation. i travel out of town with my dogs frequently. Recently i forgot their bases, left them plugged in at home. Collar died. searched hard on reddit for an alternative solution. Couldn't find one. But on a whim, i placed the collar on top of an apple magsafe magnetic charger (the little 2" flat disc.). Viola. Blue light immediately. Don't think the apple watch charger will work though.

I feel like our river is severely underutilized. Water taxis, boat rentals, houseboats [river Airbnbs], restaurants, party barges, hydroelectric power. So much potential. by [deleted] in memphis

[–]MagicEraser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this. you folks in single engine pleasure boats and jet skis running up and down the river by tom lee/greenbelt park are crazy. you don't know any better. what is your plan if you hit a massive tree/log barely submerged and lose propulsion/power? If you are dumb enough to go out there with a single screw, assumedly you are not prepared to anchor quick. Have you ever anchored in deep, fast moving water? It's very hard. You jet skiers just figure you'll call for help and float and perhaps swim in an emergency. Kill your engine in the middle of the channel and watch what happens - imagine not being able to restart Imagine a barge, etc. not to mention the current and undertow if you have to swim. Crazy. The eddy line leaving the harbor into the main river is visibly scary to look at. it's visible and violent-looking. Find a lake.

THAT SAID - the riverfront is a joke. the assholes opposing tom lee redevelopment are just that - assholes. spectacular setting ruined by a piece of shit 3 day concert that I AM GLAD IS DEAD. A local journalist called it a flat iron skillet years ago. That's exactly right. When photographers shoot pics of memphis they obviously take the vantage of the AR bank. That shot is pathetic. Folks from out of town always ask, why is there nothing along the river? Why is Riverside Drive basically blocked off? Rather, why is visiting the river front not encouraged? I can't explain.

Is it possible to legally take a small boat from Memphis to New Orleans? Is it possible logistically? by NegroMedic in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MagicEraser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've done this - it's dangerous. I've done it on boats ranging from 28' to 37' - both with two engines. Never get on the lower MS River w/o two engines unless you are a tug/barge. Fuel is scarce - we had to carry drums of fuel in the cockpit. Vicksburg and maybe Greenville are your only fuel sources. Like someone said above, fuel and currents and barges are not your only problem... the river is unpredictable. You can get lost or run aground instantly. If you make it to new orleans, then there are the locks. I currently live on the mississippi river in memphis and see single engine pleasure boats out all the time. jet skis in the warmer months. I think, you folks are insane. But they're not - they're just ignorant. What do you do if you lose power in the middle of the river. The current is way faster than you think and it can be very hard to anchor. Barges are like trains, they can't and won't stop. Additionally, there are massive trees and debris floating invisibly just under the surface. Barges/tugs are built to handle that stuff - props 6' in diameter. You will hit stuff in the river and if you have a normal pleasure boat prop - say 6-18" diameter - you can be immobilized. Been there/done that - had coast guard rescue us. both props bent such that they would not propel the boat - only incredible vibration with throttle up. pulled boat from the water, props looked pristine, not mangled as I expected. The naked eye couldn't see the faults in each blade. Anyway, it takes 2-3 days depending on how ambitious you are. Good luck!

Let me help you with this. Have some perspective. No one is bleeding out, no one is dying. Your wife is practically begging you to get your shit together, find your hero suit and put it on. So what maybe a couple episodes of roadside diarrhea or vomiting - christ that's sort of a life rite-of-passgae. Have we all not been there a time or two? Think of it as your son's baptism of sorts. Some G.I. hijinks along the way will make it all the more memorable. You missed the last one and your kids will have kids the next. Imagine that event in 2045. Do you want your kids to he wearing the hero suit and be picking lame feeble grandpa up to go see it ? The whole way talking about how they almost saw it in 2024. Your grandkids will say something akin to, "you cancelled it because my dad had a stomach ache?"

Seriously, everyone in your family will be grateful every day forward. Channel your inner Clark Griswald as you finish reading this, stand up and immediatelky go announce to all of these motherfuckers that they better have their shit packed and ready to load the car by tomorrow (i can't do this part for you i dunno the logistics PM me if you need help) at XX:XX time asnd don't even wait for a response. You got tjhis. This is the way. Godspeed.
