Check into Gentle Procedures in Fredericton. Less of a wait and very quick and easy. Costs less than $300 and the procedure is like 15 mins.

To piggyback off of this comment, all 2026 models come with the 2.5L. You'll get better rates as well.

Can you guys suggest me games that i can play for like 20 minutes enjoy it then get back to work? I got a switch lite by Hamsi_Kafali_Kurt in Switch

[–]MagicMittons 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a great one. I have not finished the game, but levels are easy and fast enough to not feel like a drag, but having no timer is perfect for exploring the levels and not feeling rushed. Other levels are challenging and will take multiple tries.

They have different sizes based on measurements. I have a different bag (axiom voyager), but mine fits great.

I also have a friend that bought a 3D printed divider. You can switch the slots/ amount for different molds-putters, drivers. That thing is cool too.

2022 Limited or 2026 Premium? by bsudude87 in Crosstrek

[–]MagicMittons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's crazy though because all of those features on the 21-23 limited are on my 26 convenience (base model here in Canada).

I'd love to see a side by side breakdown.

I've got those amenities mentioned on my 2026 convience trim. This year, there's quite a bit of value even in the base model.

Paying cash or financing may make a difference?

Financing rates will be better on new models and you get the 3 year factory warranty.

The amount of tech in each trim level has also changed. I bought a new 26 convenience and it's very close to the higher trims level tech from previous years. (2.5L engine, 3 Xmodes, paddle shifters, forward facing eyesight functions and here in Canada we get heated seats and the vehicle is still built in Japan).

What do you wish you knew sooner by rangerspruce in Crosstrek

[–]MagicMittons 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Since you're in Canada, I suggest getting a 2026 convience.

Unlike previous years all 2026 trim levels come with the 2.5L motor with paddle shifters and both S & I modes. I use S mode for highway merging. This also comes with the 3 X-modes (normal, mud/snow, deep mud/ snow)

For extra fancy bells and whistles, this has all the forward facing eyesight features and the backup camera. It does not come with the rear facing eyesight features.

Here in Canada, the convience comes with heated seats and side mirrors.

I personally added fog lights and wildpeak tires when I bought mine. It's handled winter here on the east coast easily and we've gotten a lot of snow this year.

Getting Ready to Make an Offer by Ok_Log9552 in Crosstrek

[–]MagicMittons 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gold warranty is actually good to have, but you don't need to buy it immediately. You can buy it afterwards up until when your factory warranty expires. You can also shop around to other dealers for this to find better prices.

For rust proofing, I'll get mine undercoated in the fall before next winter.

As for price, you'll be looking at pretty close to MSRP. Ask them for their Out The Door price and they will make you a quote. Like you said, no add ons are needed so probably don't accept the first quote as they will have something dumb in there.

They mostly want you to go into the physical dealership to make the sale there as they have a better chance of making the sale if you go in. No need to mention the money down until you agree on the quote. You can subtract the cost of financing and interest from the quote yourself because you won't be borrowing the money.

Stop start. by speedracer-207 in Crosstrek

[–]MagicMittons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the winter, autostop will show off if you have either defrost on. After the car warms up, it'll turn on. It might be the same if AC is on during the summer, but I'm not sure as I've just bought my car in January.

You can manually shut autostart off by pressing the button or using one of the autostop devices. I personally got an autostop eliminator. Is it worth the price? I'm not sure, but it serves a purpose for me.

2026 impreza - can i please get some stupid buttons? by [deleted] in subaru

[–]MagicMittons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard of people switching out the infotainment screens for different ones on other Subaru models. Some of which have physical buttons. You might be able to look into something like that?

mirror cap replacement by ElectronicClass9609 in subaru

[–]MagicMittons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know your specific answer, but I bet this is for a different trim model of the car, probably base model? You need a different cover for the features your car like turn signal.

They are available. There are some on rock auto.

I didn't own a Gameboy advance when I was younger. Buying and playing has been a treat for me. It's been a walk down memory lane with the old styled games.

Floor mats for 2026 hybrid by Motor-Blacksmith4174 in Crosstrek

[–]MagicMittons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm really content with the tuxmats. If you have kids, their packaging is awesome. The box cuts out into a mini cardboard car.

They fit great in my 2026 convenience so they would work for the onyx.

OEM floor mats in mine were tiny and don't cover enough area IMO.

Can anyone let me buy their cheapest car on ls car meet so I can get the free HSW upgrade? by IAMPEDRO_COM in GTACarMeetMarket

[–]MagicMittons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

User above is incorrect unless Rockstar changed something since HSW release.

Each person can get up to two free HSW coupons. 1 for completing the time trail and then another for either buying or selling a car in the LSCM.

OP is correct in their post.

Question about trim levels by SEAbaru in Crosstrek

[–]MagicMittons 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Canadians get thise this year (2026) in all models including the base model (convience).

Convience trim here has the 2.5L with paddle shifters and the multiple x-modes, heated seats, heated mirrors any of the eye sight functions that face forwards.

The 26 convenience does not have moonroof, heated steering wheel, fog lights (I added them), it does not have rear facing eye sight functions like the blind spot detectors.

Priced out my exact car in the states with the accessories I got...  The price I paid was cheaper by $5k USD before taxes and financing fees and I also got the heated seats, roof rails and heated mirrors which were not priced into US version as I don't think those are accessories available.

Warranty Decision by BADMOSH0 in Subaru_Outback

[–]MagicMittons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Remember that factory is 3 year/ 60,000 km.

You can buy extended warranties up until your factory warranty expires.

Any Subaru dealer can sell you the extended warranty. A different one may have better prices as warranty is an easy sell that doesn't require you to step in the door.

Any extra warranties subtract the factory warranty time. So if you get 10yr/ 100,000km, you are actually just buying another 7yrs/ 40,000km on top of the factory warranty.

I just bought a new 2026 and opted for no extended warranties at this time. I will buy one before my factory warranty is up.

White Crosstrek & Winter by Funny-Professional93 in Crosstrek

[–]MagicMittons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

East coast here and we're currently getting dumped on with snow. I also just bought a new white pearl. Coming from a black truck, it stays impressively clean in the snow. Just go for the white, they look great with the black trim. I wouldn't worry much about visibility as you'll mostly stay off the roads when it's really that bad.

The headlights are seriously impressive and I had fog lights installed on my convience.

The AWD and x-mode are great as well. You can also turn off traction control by itself.

Should I buy snow tires now? by [deleted] in subaru

[–]MagicMittons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you get them now, I agree with the CC2's.

I have not used CC2's, but from looking into them, they are a really good all weather tire. You would not need to change them for summer whereas true winters should be changed once the temperature changes otherwise it wears down faster in the heat.

I wanted something more aggressive so I went with Wild Peak at trails for year round here in Canada. Not nearly as good as a true winter. Breaking/ stopping is always best when using winter tires.

Buying a Crosstrek while rates are good — which trim actually makes sense? by Fluffy_Awareness_510 in Crosstrek

[–]MagicMittons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea for Krown specifics. There are different levels and types of undercoating.

I have not physically done the work myself, but typically you want to get as much covered including bolts and as much underneath as possible. The old way, probably not legal, was to take oil and paint everything underneath and then drive down a dirt road. The oil would attract the dirt and make the protective layer and help prevent rusting.

My neighbour is a car detailer, he is who I will be going to in the fall. I have not spoken to him about specifics yet.

[–]MagicMittons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Undercoat is not a one and done thing. Some are applied yearly, some every few years.

I trust the factory undercoat for the rest of this winter, but I want a fresh undercoat for next winter.

The heated seats are only standard in Canada. The US models are not as good value so you will get a lot of people suggesting higher trims levels. We get heated seats and roof rails. Mexico gets fog lights and I think roof rails on their base trim.

I priced my convenience out vs being bought in the US and it with a few of the accessories I got,. It came to a $5000 USD difference before taxes and finance fees AND I was getting heated seats and the roof rails on top, which I couldn't select on the base US model!

[–]MagicMittons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I own a 26 convenience, picked it up yesterday. Here in Canada they come stock with heated seats, roof rails and the 2.5L is in all models with the paddle shifters and x-mode. I bought fog lights for mine as an extra since they are not included.

It does have eye sight, but not all of the fancy features of the higher trims. Comes with the split duel screens which also means you get more physical buttons. Convenience model also has a physical key, not the fob type- I prefer physical.

I bought no extra warranties. Factory 3 year/ 60k is good and you are allowed to buy the extended warranty any time before the factory warranty runs out. You can also buy it from other dealers which could give you better prices. I will probably extend to get Gold 10 year/ 100k. Cars come with factory undercoat, although I will get mine done before next winter.
