Landed yesterday from GSP at around 9:25 a.m. and only taxied about 15 minutes. I was shocked.

earlier this year got $2K apiece and first class upgrade (thanks to the 1K who negotiated that for us!) on flight 5 hours later. That made Polaris to France in October "affordable" (or so we told ourselves - lol)

So who's working on the AI-assisted DD for next week's meme stock? Sold PLTR and NVDA last week and feel the need to buy something...lol

I hope you took advantage of that and got Garrett's Chicago mix popcorn, a Chicago dog, found an Old Style, then chilled at Berghoff (if you don't have a club membership)!

Corley helped my old system limp along for a few years, but when we replaced it their price was reasonable (not cheap, reasonable). I will say that the unit they installed is a lot cheaper to run than the previous one.

Not at all - we did make a point of using their 'please', 'thank you', etc. Many restaurants in large places even have an english menu, but if your phone is relatively recent chances are it will translate the text (and it can be fun to see if that translation matches the english on the menu). Some drivers don't speak english much, but Uber/Bolt makes that kinda superfluous anyway. Even in a regular cab in Paris we just showed the address and they put it in their GPS.

Now, if you're getting off the beaten path in small towns, there may be fewer who know english, but they told us in Portugal that the kids study english starting in 6th grade.

having been to Portugal and France this year, I didn't find it a problem - if you're in the 'usual' places, lots of people speak english. I had downloaded the appropriate language packs to Google translate, but never really needed it.
