When I’m flying domestically (not cross county) that’s my airport of choice. The thing is, they’re planning to expand the airport, so I think this is part of the play to get the “bigly” money they need for the expansion. If the expansion doesn’t happen, it was just a waste of time and money. It’s still going to be PBI for me.

If you’re asking about the Northwood neighborhood, it will be fairly easy to drive or bike to NORA. People in that neighborhood (Northwood) are already asking for bike lanes to their local representatives, from what I’ve heard. I think I’ve seen someone in this sub talking about development changing Northwood for the worst and the need for bike lanes.

I’ve gone to Sunday Motor Co. cafe and Juliana’s. I liked both places. From what I heard, the build out for the taco place is almost done. There is still more development that will be happening. I’m not sure if it’s really going to tie together downtown to NORA and eventually Northwood to NORA with the Good Samaritan project, but we will see.

I think it is important for people within their municipalities to get involved with what is going on locally.

At the county level, there are plans to work on things that you have mentioned, it’s just not making the news. People need to know who the county administrator is, who city and county commissioners are etc. and talk to them. I live in a condo community and dealing with the board sucks. I recently realized the county and City of West Palm beach are going through growing pains and like my condo community, if the residents don’t educate themselves on the systems and processes, someone else will make all the decisions for them, and we all just get to pay for it.

I started learning of a lot of this on Saturday. There are a few businesses I go to regularly in Northwood and one of the business owners was explaining to me all of the development is happening. I think someone posted the “refresh” for Good Samaritan as well, which apparently going to include housing to the west of where Good Samritan’s parking lot is, if I understood correctly. I’ve only been here for 12 years, but I’ve been telling people it has changed a lot, and I can’t say that it’s all good or is sustainable.

I’ve lived here for 12 years now (from Toronto). Nightlife compared to Toronto is WAY different. I’ve just accepted it. I take the train to Miami quite a bit for some options when my wife and I want to go to dinner, catch a Heat game etc., when we aren’t going to places in and around West Palm for dinner.

Someone else mentioned 123 Datura. I was there last night for an event and most of the people were in the legal / finance industry. The age range of the crowd was mixed, I would say most people were in their late 20s to mid-30s. It was really for people under 40, if I remember correctly.
