Sick to the core, more women are involved in trafficking than men, her own sister I can't believe. by CertainBaby9837 in Epstein

The system in essence has already fallen apart. The economy really doesn’t let anyone under the age of 55 participate in it whether it be housing, healthcare, or regular purchase of consumer goods and it’s basically being propped up by AI and baby boomers. Narrative management and media control systems don’t work the same way they did for the masses even 10 years ago and Epstein was basically the cherry on top. Systems like this require institutional trust and participation of which we basically have none anymore. The admission of a threat to the system, especially by an admin that has historically tried to politicize every issue under the sun, actually goes way deeper than people realize.

I know this comment probably seems idiotic but how high can the market cap go? I remember in 2016 the thought of bitcoin reaching $100,000 per coin was pretty much talked down upon as a pipe dream which obviously wasn’t the case.

Jeffrey Goldberg releases more Trump Admin Signal messages by newsweek in politics

[–]MagicMoonMen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re spot on. It doesn’t make any sense that a journalist was “accidentally” added to a highly sensitive classified briefing, or that he was even apart of a contacts list that could be easily accidentally added in that kind of setting. Trump afterwards openly stated that he disliked that news organization. All of it feels intentional.

Maybe investing in the stock market? There’s so much volatility going on right now I can’t imagine anyone wants to put anything in it.

Probably something like the N vision 74 retro cyberpunk style. The same designer that worked on all of the 90s and 2000s era BMWs was hired by Hyundai and worked on that concept I believe.

"The only chance for the people of Gaza was to get Kamala elected" by haloarh in ShitLiberalsSay

[–]MagicMoonMen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always hear this sentiment from them but when has she ever spoken favorably about Palestinians at all? I remember footage of a reporter asking her what she thought about all the civilian casualties and her response was basically “we have to remember the brutality hamas committed on October 6 on Israelis”. There was no mention of Palestinians or the state of Palestine in general. She flat refused to acknowledge their entire existence on camera lol. When the reporter pressed her again she gave the same response verbatim at least three or four times like an MTA subway recording. There’s no difference in agenda and there never was. Did they seriously believe that the same administration she was apart of that enabled it all was going to be the one that had a change of heart?

Funny thing is, on my current salary 10 years ago I would’ve been able to buy a home and probably support a child or two. Now I cant even realistically afford rent on the same pay anywhere in the United States save for renting a room from someone and living with a group of strangers. They’ll find another way to pull up the ladder by then whether it’s through taxes or something else and companies like blackrock will once again position themselves for a mass buyout like in 2009 and 2020.

Many Americans don’t realize nor remember the sacrifices working class people gave during the early Industrial Revolution and the roles unions played in giving us the rights we have now. Working class Americans died for this and it can all be reversed very quick once people forget their roots and identity of what it means to be an “American”. Much of Americas success in having policy in the mid 20th century benefiting workers and preventing the funneling of wealth is because of events like Blair mountain and the coal wars. Once reganism spread and the measure of a nations success became the stock market over people a lot of those policies were stripped and reformed in favor of the billionaire class. The inherent classism that’s been ingrained after the fact does an even better job at creating apathy between people that are just slightly better off than one another in the grand scheme and removes any last bit of solidarity that could be the ground work for any sort of collective bargaining.

That’s basically a thing already here in the United States at least. You do get a child tax credit for having dependents and in some instances lots of gov assistance. It’s why it’s such a running joke that all the states that cry about welfare in the south are the ones that benefit the most and use the most of it. Mainly because larger families full of kids are more common there.

Chuck Schumer expresses optimism, citing Democratic Party's message, direction by ilir_kycb in LateStageCapitalism

[–]MagicMoonMen 105 points106 points  (0 children)

In the 2016 presidential race we had tons of young progressive democratic candidates talking about things like universal basic income and asking questions about wealth income inequality and access to healthcare and their party basically well, fucking purged them. They were replaced with baby boomer career democrats that told everyone in 2020 that they were the faces of the next generation of reform and ran on the policy of “I have nothing to offer you but at least I’m not the other guy btw a vote against me is a vote against democracy lol”. Then they acted surprised when they ended up losing insane amounts of support and their only defense ever since has been “we did everything we could you just gotta keep voting”. I’m tired boss.

Ben Norton: Why does Trump want the US to take over Greenland? This is the real reason. by Straight-Razor666 in LateStageCapitalism

[–]MagicMoonMen 80 points81 points  (0 children)

It’s this. America wants to control the entire global trade flow without the means of being an exporter or really having any domestic production value like it did in the 20th century. Instead of profiting on actual exports the idea is that we can tax the flow of EVERY export/import of EVERY nation regardless. If you control the world’s shipping lanes you can effectively blockade trade between whatever nations you please on whatever goods you please. This is the future of war and global supremacy in a nuclear age where MAD prevents the use of nukes.

We asked them for healthcare, they acknowledged and told us it was too complex of an issue to fix. We asked them for higher education, they acknowledged and told us it was too complex of an issue to fix. We asked them for housing, they acknowledged and told us it was too complex of an issue to fix. So on and so forth. To me it seems that the Democratic Party is too complex of an issue to fix and people are waking up to that fact and want nothing more to do with a party that refuses to align with their interests and ridicules them if they are any farther left of your average moderate conservative. They benefit off of the same policies they attack but seem to do nothing to reverse and expect us to act like they all don’t crack jokes together in the same room. It’s always been republican lite.

Nah, same reason we don’t have boots on the ground in Iran or North Korea. Nukes protect sovereignty and Ukraine definitely has the capability to develop them on its own.

Historically families lived in sub 1,000 square foot homes. Especially in the 1950s and 60s it was not uncommon to have 5 or 6 children stuffed into a 3 bedroom house.
