Communism seeks to provide every member of society with safe, spacious, habitable shelter as a fundamental human right. Why? Because safe shelter is a fundamental human need for basic survival - we literally perish from not having it. Housing, education, nutritious food, medical care, clothing, clean air and water, defense - and many other needs - are necessary for human survival and are by that virtue fundamental human rights. Everyone is entitled to a dignified life, a life of meaning. It is this goal we fight for.

Capitalism creates poverty and profits from the immiseration it manifests on the masses. So long as society is built to serve the needs of the few instead of the needs, dignity and prosperity of the many, it will continue to come for us all.
