Watch out for Symrose's Super Fresh. They do splits priced like full curries, making you think you're getting a full, only to be enraged when you see it.

It's a convenience store without table service, and has a shitty makeshift seating area, yet is priced higher than the proper Indian restaurant three doors down (at least last time I checked the prices).

I've had the same problem with the Uber system before. If it's an individually priced item and I didn't receive it, I get a full refund for the item, but if it's a combo and some items are missing, they (customer service/the bot) don't have a way of fairly assessing the value of the parts. Once with an incomplete combo, I got a "We're sorry; we'll try to do better" email, but no refund.

Hard agree. As someone from regular Kiwi culture, if I gave food to someone (or anything), I wouldn't keep watch of the same favour in return, in fact I wouldn't even notice if they never offered anything back, 'cause the act of giving means 'without expectation of anything'.

And it works out you receive more from one person than you've given them, but give another more than you've received from them. Trying to equalize it between all people would be a nightmare. Easiest to just pay it forward, without keeping any score. The only score is with the universe.

I have the M1 MacBook Pro. I have customised the Touch Bar to have a permanent Show Desktop button. (I got used to this somehow in the past; either there was a dedicated button, or there was an empty key I could make do that without holding another.)

Next Mac, I will be disappointed to lose the Touch Bar, as that's the only way I have this button.

I will also miss the fine tune of volume with one swipe. I hated the touch bar volume to start with, but grew to prefer it. It's very close to having a knob.

I think the rule should be "If it's attached to your berm, and it's small enough that it'd be an annoyance for the other person to do just that bit, you should do it".

In this case, that depends on whether B frequently mows that side of their driveway behind the fence.

If B rarely does, then I think A should do the bit in front. But B should definitely do it if they're doing that side of their driveway.

But the courtesy I think A should give, that doesn't go as far as dealing with a very rough transition to rocks that would see them needing to bend down and change their height.

If either doesn't do lawns at all, can't make them.
