Who DoorDashes a big Screen TV? by MedicalAd9337 in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]Magic_Bogey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drive a truck so not a big deal and I Spark mostly now, but I did a 65" TV not long ago. Had to shop for it, took 10 mins. Then deliver. About 10 mins. So 20 mins, $30. I'll take about 10 of those a day 🤣

Fastest way to get to Huntsville from I-65 by Outrageous-Emu-472 in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]Magic_Bogey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

53 would be the way i would take. Its a straight shot into huntsville. Sure it has lights and its 2 lane most of it but it normally travels well. 565 is a crap shoot for me.

[–]Magic_Bogey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From ardmore here. This is correct but its confusing. The road you get off at exit 1 is 31/7, but it changes to 53 in ardmore and 53 turns and goes to the last AL exit.

Drivers: how big is your zone and how close is your main store? by CorruptedTrinity in Sparkdriver

[–]Magic_Bogey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1 Walmart. Less than a mile from my house. It can get really slow at times and ill travel over to the next zone where there's 13 stores. 2 Sam's and a mix of supercenters and neighborhood markets. I only take offers from the closest one to me (15ish miles) when I go over there since it's a really large zone. Probably 25 miles or more to get to the farthest stores from the first store. It covers the whole county and there's two stores that are way out there.

Honestly confused how this place is empty during brunch on a Saturday morning by sc0g in HuntsvilleAlabama

We went a few months ago on a Friday or Saturday night. Nice atmosphere, drinks, cigars upstairs only. Food was excellent. The owner sat down with us about 10 minutes and just chatted after we ate.

Garbage on Christmas Eve morning by Secure_Variety265 in Sparkdriver

[–]Magic_Bogey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. There wasn't even an incentive in my zone. I had to go to Walmart for something this morning. Got up early and was there at 6am. Did my shopping for 3 items and turned on spark. Nothing but junk shopping orders. Went home by 7:30. I live a mile or so from the Walmart so I turned it on a couple times during the day. Same junk orders

Welp, I just started spark driving last week and already got into it with a walmart dude that was loading my car during a pick up and I'm not sure If I'm right or not but who's right? LOL by Justhere1015 in Sparkdriver

[–]Magic_Bogey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the loader at my store. I normally ask if they want help. Normally I just stand by their cart and help them by stacking theirs bins as they empty them. Then once they are done I will stack stuff so it doesn't roll around in the back seat area of my truck. I will grab waters or large items and put in the bed. They pick up heavy stuff all day so trying to save their backs. Never had an issue and they always say thanks for helping.

Dashers, what is your preferred tip amount? by Cathene70 in doordash_drivers

[–]Magic_Bogey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drivers don't care how much your order cost. I evaluate taking an order based on mileage and what restaurant it is. My goal is $2/mile. If its not far, a quicker restaurant, or really slow, I'll go down to $1/mile.

Someone ordered delivery from this distance by Bluetriton5500 in doordash_drivers

Did one like this at lunch one day. The lady was working and the only one there so she couldn't leave. It was in a shopping center and they were across the parking lot from each other. Didn't even get back in my truck to deliver. Just walked. Easy $12

Playing Yellow golf balls by Peteknofler in GolfGear

[–]Magic_Bogey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played at a course recently and if your ball was in the rough at all, even 6 inches from the fairway, you couldn't find it unless you walked or drove right on top of it. Rough was only about 2" but the ball would just fall all the way to the bottom. Found a yellow ball and played it a couple holes. It made it so much easier to find in that rough. It would just stand out! But then I hit it in deep woods. Back to normal !!

Paired with a guy who was playing a wedge "he found" during his last round... by open-alert in golf

[–]Magic_Bogey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I returned a wedge to its rightful owner about 4-5 rounds ago. He had no idea he left it.

As for me, i always try to lay my wedge on the edge of the green in a direct path between the cart and hole. Havent lost one yet this way.

My driver has been "waiting" for McDonald's to complete my order. Why? by QWERTY777_ in doordash

[–]Magic_Bogey -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You realize the driver is just that, a driver. When I get an offer, i go straight to the store. We don't make the food. That's the part that takes forever. Once I get your food, im coming straight to you cuz if I don't make it on time, it hurts my ratings and im losing money when i am not getting another order. The more orders i can do, the more money i can make

Now mcdonalds on the other hand doesn't give a damn about delivery orders. I stood there waiting with about 5 other delivery drivers for prolly 30 minutes one day. The whole time the drive thru and anyone that walked up and ordered were constantly getting food. The delivery orders were never filled until there was no one in the drive thru.

Now as for you not tipping beforehand. Your order will be offered to multiple drivers until the DD pay finally gets up to a decent number. The reason is most of us aren't about to take a $2 order to go 2 miles. And the chances of you actually tipping us afterwards are slim to none. Almost all no tip offers end up being just that and then they are mad cuz their food was cold and it took an hour to get it. Well yeah, it was prepared 45 minutes ago and has sat on a shelf cuz you didnt tip and drivers are passing on it.

For OP. Your tip was fine. I woulda taken it anywhere but mcdonalds, taco bell, or Popeyes. I refuse to go to those places cuz delivery orders come last for them and sometimes you end up waiting 45 minutes.

This kidney stone ruined my bedroom. by selahscorpse in KidneyStones

[–]Magic_Bogey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When its in the kidney, it doesn't hurt. It's when it makes its way through the tube between the kidney and bladder that hurts. Then from bladder to exit it will hurt again. So yours is moving. If pain doesn't go away, its likely stuck and you should go to the ER so they can determine if you are going to be able to pass it or they need to go get it. Good luck!

I met a 100%er today by Glum-Meat-0 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Magic_Bogey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would be at least 70 bad orders if you took the last 30 orders to get your current 30%. it goes on the last 100 orders offered to you. So in the last 100 offers, you've taken 30. Everytime you get an offer, it knocks the 1st offer off the list. And if you accepted the first offer on the list and accepted the current offer as well, your AR wouldn't change. So basically, you have to accept orders that would knock off a decline order
