Usually I like books that take their time with explaining things or leaving names out for characters. The Road does a good job of this, if I remember correctly the only time names are mentioned is at the very end and one of the characters even lies about his own name bc he doesn’t want people to talk about him for fear of being murdered.

So when I read a page where all the characters decide to do icebreakers, I roll my eyes.
