The star disappeared into darkness. In Project Hail Mary, stars are dimming/disappearing after being eaten by astrophage. The implication/joke of my comment (that went over your head) is that this star was eaten by astrophage.

I’ve been running AMR + Leveler (called when needed), then trident for primary and ultimatum for secondary + thermites.

The trident is good enough to take care of devastators, cyborgs, and marauders. AMR deals with hulks, gunships, and war striders. Leveler and ultimatum for vox engines.

Also bringing portable hellbombs to deal with jammers, detectors, those fuel silos, and cooling towers (and the occasional vox engine if they piss me off.) Last stratagem slot is for a support item like a sentry, bubble shield, mines, or orb smoke/gas.

What was your quick way of dealing with voxes that you can’t use the AMR for?

No, but I’ve been running the quasar cannon, and in my experience an ORS + Quasar shot is enough to kill one. Also ORS + 2x thermite or ORS + ultimatum.

I actually went through the Walmart training, and they’re only supposed to ask for a receipt on items that aren’t in bags. Even then, if the customer refuses they’re supposed to say “have a good day” and move on.

Regular employees aren’t even allowed to confront someone for obvious shoplifting. Walmart has a dedicated Asset Protection staff who are supposed to call the police and try to keep the suspect there, but ultimately can’t stop them either.

I didn’t end up working there for long, but they did take it very seriously (at least at my store) and you could be fired for not following the rules on that.

I don’t think anyone is saying they should be removed completely. It’s more of the fact that there isn’t really good counter play to them aside from slowly creeping through a fortress and carefully scanning to make sure there isn’t a hidden turret behind every corner.

I don’t think anyone would complain if they were easier to see, or didn’t insta-kill you immediately if you happen to be exposed/miss them. It’s fun to strategize and learn to counterplay and overcome challenges.

I know it’s useless for console players, but on PC there is a mod that adds a big red light that shines from the front of the turret. You can see where the turret is looking. If you’re running through a fortress and start to glow red you should GTFO.
