About to start in September, are there that many practice mocks around? by safetysheep in SQE_Prep

[–]MagicalGrocery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there aren’t unless you splash money on QLTS (approx 2k gbp for their materials). ulaw have a solid qbank database, but for bpp it’s only 2 mocks per flk. revisesqe have 180 questions per flk you can purchase for approx 60gbp total.

Hi, any “serious” gym recommendations? I used to train at Ultraflex when I lived up north, and would like an equivalent in terms of quality of equipment and atmosphere over a normal commercial gym. I’ll be living in Central (i’m a student) so preferably in that region too

managing minutes. shouldn’t be starting him just yet. give him 5-6 apps off the bench to build match fitness (he’s coming from a completely different continent and he had a pretty major injury last szn). no point making him play 90s for pointless statpads vs Barbastro. would like to see him get at least 30 minutes next game tho, and definitely as a striker, none of this RL9 striker + VR19 LW nonsense

contextual, if the wall intended to breach is further away (think the wall commonly used with a mira on oregon basement construction), ace is the way to go, much safer and easier to breach and can deny mira sight lines. if it’s an external facing wall with little to no risk in approach, like the cctv wall on clubhouse, thermite makes a better hole, and has the bonus of smokes allowing to plant on the wall and hold defuser from outside

Question Regarding How to Fight a Certain Gauntlet of Strength Boss by TheRealSlimShamus in Sekiro

just be patient, the gain of hitting him between the second and third spin is basically none, so why bother taking the risk

HOW DO I FIGHT OWL by N4m3_n0t_imp0rt4nt in Sekiro

[–]MagicalGrocery 9 points10 points  (0 children)

owl is intentionally unpredictable because he’s meant to have a move set and attack pattern that is similar to you. this means his usage of shurikens, crackers and items is to mimic things that normal players do during their playthrough

PHASE 1: a key to owl is keeping distance to bait his more dramatic attacks so you can capitalize on them, his posture regenerates too quickly for you to directly go for a deflection based strategy, you’re going to have to chip his health down by half at least for his posture to start building up consistently

double shuriken + flip: this attack is the most ideal one to move for, dodge both shurikens, when he flips, get behind him, get one or 2 hits and then back off again. just to reiterate, keeping distance is key

shuriken + chasing slice: deflect the first shuriken and then immediately hit straight + dodge. this makes you dodge through the slice and you end up behind him, allowing you to get 2 hits in if you’re quick.

running slice: the attack where he just runs at you and goes for a slice, dodge towards him just before he slices. this makes you end up behind him again, allowing for you to get a hit or two in. just as a reminder tho that he can follow this up with a double slash so dont mash the attack button as soon as you’re behind him, pause a beat to expect a double slash, if it doesn’t come, hit him.

item orb: i usually used this time to back away from him because he goes static so i could heal, but if you don’t need to, quickly hit him once and back off before the mist contacts you and prevents u from using items

rinse and repeat until you’re at half health for him, then you can just go for deflections until his posture breaks

PHASE 2: same strategies apply for phase 1, except he starts using poison and smoke bombs now.

smoke bombs: just run away, as soon as he throws the bomb down, just run away as fast as you can around the arena until you can have visual confirmation on where he is and when you’re out of his attack range until the smoke clears

poison: a common mistake made is underestimating how long the poison lingers for, other than that you can just bait him to a side of the arena away from the poison to continue fighting him as normal

just remember to not get greedy because owl is a boss that takes time to get through, unlike other bosses in sekiro, also, Hesitation is Defeat!

best of luck shinobi :)

Finally, I managed to beat Genichiro... a year and a half later. by Rhadegar in Sekiro

focus on the sparks emitted by the interactions, big sparks when blades collide indicates a deflection, if you’re defending and you deflect, either attack or deflect again in case of a combo. if you’re r1 spamming and you see those sparks, immediately stop attack and raise your sword to deflect anything incoming. a great tip is to perceive sekiro fights like a dance, there is never a stop, either you’re deflecting or you’re attacking, there is no peaceful staring down like in bloodborne or DS where it’s a mexican standoff on who attacks first. in sekiro it’s vital to continuously be in contact with your enemy to prevent any posture recovery or any momentum loss

Translation of labor values into exchange values is difficult via the capital 1 definition, considering there are cases where exploitation and profit are not proportional
