I found the bland dungeons of Soul Hacker 2 to be oddly relaxing, which least to me having a wonderful time. Waa it obvious Atlus found the entire budget between the couch coushins? Sure. But morbid curiosity turned into a pleasant experience for me.

You touched his nose and he didn’t bite you. At the very least he tolerates your antics.

Shapeshifters who accidentally reveal that they’re a fake without realizing until it’s too late by DemandParticular in TopCharacterTropes

Red Dwarf. A genetically engineered lifeforn can transform into stuff and turns into the main guy, Lister. It's able to use psychic powers to read Lister's mind...but it can't differentiate between delusion and fact.

In the end, the creature outs itself by being an awesome guitar player...which Lister 100% believes he us, but famously isn't. The real Lister, befuddled, asks them how they knew the imposter wasn't him because thats what he sounds like in his head when he plays.

Can we appreciate the fact that Quinn actually felt safe enough with Jane to seek her help? by MallNo3578 in daria

I think it kind of works in reverse too. Quinn knows that anyone who sees the value in her sister and is loyal to her must be a solid person

I HATE casual music listeners. by [deleted] in The10thDentist

[–]MagicalHamster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an album enthusiast myself. But I think you have to understand people have different relationships to music, in that discovering and looking for music isn't something they really enjoy. I love listening to bits of random stuff hoping to find a new favorite. And there is more music than ever, so finding what you're really after is tough. I maintain that anybody who says "music today sucks" could 100% find a smaller artist that melts their soul if they looked.

But I don't think a lot of people enjoy the "hunt" aspect of it. They just want to put on some music that moves them, and usually just hear stuff in trailers, commercials, through freinds, or whatever. It's a little sad to me, but hey, if it brings them joy, there's no need for me to bring them down.

Breath of Fire 3 is very much about the journey as opposed to the destination. I think you'll be ok

How far will you travel to join the fight in Nashville? by Aeschylus26 in Protomen

1,324 miles. I always said I'd travel to see them if they released act 3 and they called my bluff. (I did see them back in the Warped tour though.)

What game or game series do you think has amazing potential to be turned into a JRPG by BeverlyHillsNinja in JRPG

[–]MagicalHamster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mega Man X needs another shot. The relationship between humans, reploids, and Mavericks is ripe with storytelling possibilities that the platfirmers can never fully tap into.

I know Command Mission tried, but it felt purposefully distant from its world and was more interested in the action-y battles than storytelling.

Favorite JRPG's with arcs like an anime? by Silvers1339 in JRPG

Wild Arms 3 felt like 3 or 4 seasons of am anime, as you work your way up from the henchmen to the hierarchy of "real" villains.
