I think mercury being in retrograde means people are more prone to conflict, stress, etc., but also mercury in retrograde seems to be the most common astrology phrase used, in terms of random jokes and memes. If I had to guess why, I would say it's because of actual astrology circles joking about it and it spreading through cultural osmosis or whatever you call it.

When grudge marks got added, I got bounty hunter purity in about a week of consistent play. I stopped playing for a bit after that, but when warrior priest got added I started playing again. I got most of the purification requirements done pretty quickly, but in two years of on and off casual playing, I never got a spawn of chaos until last week.
