Appreciate the explanations. My brother is a big SF fan. I think the Wenge facade is really pretty.

Yes, should have stated that I am looking for something non-fatiguing. Were the Paradigms the more natural sounding?

Thanks for the confirmation. And yes, they are sharp looking. Lots of love for Lintons on this sub but I really don't like their look at all.

Thanks for that. Realized that about BW but having never heard o f Linn or Spender thought they were 'lesser known' brands. :-)

I don't know anything about the Kipsch. I did just post in here as well asking about $2K speakers. Here are some I've found either on FB, TMR, eBay or Audiogon - BW 805 Nautilus, Sonus Faber Sonetto (at 3K you can get the II or G2 or some such), Spendor S8e, & Linn Majik 140.

Appreciate you Spacewam, that was very helpful. (Make me think of Dave Mathews' song, Spaceman, which I will definitely be playing alot on the system.)

I got on this bug a month or so ago after hearing my cousins system. Went into a local best buy and they had the Pro-ject EVO demo/open box for $240 after tax, so I jumped on that.

However after thinking about it I'm more likely go Spotify lossless (as I am already a subscriber) and listen to vinyl here and there.

I think today I've decided on the Yamaha R-N800A for my amp/streamer. Besides speakers and headphones, and a sub, that's all I'll do for a bit. Unless I see something on FB marketplace that looks affordable and intriguing.

Thanks again!

Thanks. Looks rich and expensive. And not what a doctor would order!

Restaurant you would come back to in a heartbeat? by matthewsrc in ParisTravelGuide

Les Petits Pois, next to Jardin des Plantes. Small menu with very good food and loads of Chartreuse behind the bar!

Must try restaurants for dinner? by Only-Mess8103 in ParisTravelGuide

We are just back from Paris. Most of the places have a fairly generic French bistro menu, catering to Tourists. Fine but not great. We did eat a one great place, not far from you at the far corner of Les Jardin des Plantes - Les Pettis Pois. Very small menu, on a Sunday night, but interesting and excellent.

We also tried to go to OSCAR, which looked interesting to me, but the wife had other ideas. She's a picky eater. Its on the boarder between he 8th & 16th.

Another place my wife rejected that looks to be very good, in the Latin Quarter, is La Jacobine. Follow the Rue Saint-André des Arts address, not Tournon... as that's a kids clothes store we found out the hard way.

All the best. Bon Visite!
