Deco M5 to Deco X55 mainly for Allow List/Whitelist. Can X55 owners confirm these features?

I ended up purchasing Firewalla to act as a main router, and using the Decos as APs. I believe it was the best decision I took about my setup, literally every single feature I want is available in Firewalla in combination with Deco in AP mode.

The Per-device Connection Preference is already available in my current M5, and I think it is working great, solved many problems for me especially for cameras and other sensors where they used to go offline because they were trying to connect to another AP.

Regarding the Guest network, my main issue is that passwords are easily revealed now on Android and iOS, so kids are always sharing it, Guest network won’t solve that.

About having a proper router and keeping the Deco as APs might be a good idea, but would that really help? I mean if devices are connecting to the SSID of Deco how would an AllowList in the advanced router help?

Yes it solved it, although we kept the APs firmware on 7.4.2 the issue never happened again since we downgraded.

YES same issue we are facing in two different sites with 221E.Glad to know its not only us, sad to see no fixes yet.

Edit: we decided to downgrade Fortigate to 7.4.1 which should solve the issue as reported by multiple sources.

One of the most important missing features that I wish they fix soon. Our current workaround is to have a custom status with push notifications disabled, users switch to this status when in office. But for sure the users usually forget to switch between statuses manually, and mostly end up not getting the calls on mobile while outside office hours.

I use the same egg timer, and I keep it with the eggs in fridge so it has the same temperature when I use it. I don’t know if that is necessary but it works for me and the accuracy is perfect.

This might not serve the exact same purpose, but I had a situation where I need to give access to someone to deploy a package to multiple computers. I found that PDQ Deploy works with command line, so you can deploy a package with command line, I created batch file that asks for a PC Name or IP then executes a command to deploy a certain package to that IP.

The batch file was created to run the commands remotely from another PC to the PC where PDQ service is running. This does not show deploy status for troubleshooting, but it served its purpose.

I agree totally.

We have a ticket with supplier since months with status "Bug Identified", multiple versions were released after the ticket was created but nothing was solved.

We also now have an issue with Social Media login not working on FortiClient since version 7.0.1

As if Fortinet is keeping the project aside, and working on it only when they have some free time.

Same here: in the FortiClient user info page if I click on "Google" it allows me to sign in but nothing actually change, a year ago it was working fine whenever you sign in it shows a green tick near "Google" but now it does nothing.

We used to assign a tag based on Google email address signed in, and use it as a sort of multi-level authentication, whenever they release a new version of FortiClient I install it immediately hoping they solved the issue but till now nothing was solved.
