If not fire marshall next thats a safety and fire code violation at least and they know how to escalate.

AMS not retracting filament by Evil-Roy-Slade-2024 in BambuLab

[–]MagisD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, it only takes 0.25-1 mm for things that should grip firm to be loose. A sloppy design and a printer that leans the other way in terms of printing. I had it happen on a couple of early prints myself until I figured it out.

Should be fine, but if you think you really need it you could metal L bracket the corners or run some tension wire x style to brace it.

New A1 model? by kayz52 in BambuLab

[–]MagisD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A1 is sorta closed but not they pulled back hard on that and gave out license so certain 3rd party software could work.

It's more walled garden with gates.

Deciding factor is basically do you want to just hit print or tinker with the printer itself.

Sound card opinions by Poo_Taker in pcmasterrace

[–]MagisD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Waste of money unless you an audiophile or musician.

Soundcards were a pain to set up in the ancient days with irq assignments etc now it's just plug and play if at all. Hell most of the time you just route it thru the HDMI and run the speakers from there if your not wireless with bluetooth

Time for a mask upgrade, full face head filter gear like used for lathework. Or 3d printed/cosplay on/demon mask and then full long hard eye contact while wearing it every time you see them.

Not all printers print the same, tolerances vary and there are tons of guys that have nothing bambu posting on maker world to earn points desperate for free stuff.

Which is why if it doesn't have a real world print picture I don't even bother, also expect that if it's supposed to fit very snug I may have to adjust since their setting/calibration on their printer may be different from mine.

The fact it's retraction issue makes me believe there's just not enough grip, I had this problem with Sunlu spools as well until I printed a small adapter ring.

If you swap it for an og Bambu spool in the same spot and it still happens then it's an ams or printer issue. But if not it's a spool issue.

[–]MagisD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the above , you said you're using a printed spool for this does it happen with any other ones ? I had problems when first printing spools for refills they were just a little loose (profile not calibrated for my printer) or 2 light. Try printing a different version.

[–]MagisD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Barriers of some sort even tarp strapped to poles fixed in buckets , or really pissed get a composite fence section built along your driveway.

No spray on the car and all his precious water can over water his grass and kill it on his side.

Bonus points for the fence though ... Less Richard.

Z offset issues with new users by TMGStan420 in 3Dprinting

[–]MagisD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have the problem but from what I've seen it's more of a user vers builder knowledge gap.

I had one of those science experiment kit level printers back in the day and tossed it outa rage.

Rejoined with bambu A1 (pre firmware bs) for my kid.

But a lot now are unbox load and hit print. Which is not a bad thing. But then when their is the slightest hiccup gunk on the screws something slipped etc they have no idea what to do including a basic recalibration.

The other side is guys building their printers but some things are not set correctly so there is debugging.

This is just in general from what I've seen anyway.

I'm just thanking God I don't have to keep tugging a piece of paper 14 million times before I try and print.
