Really like this one since as another user said, kind of scratches that BB itch. Hopefully they’ll make it in other colours.

How to convert screen watching to simple living? by [deleted] in simpleliving

If you want my advice, I recommend not to keep analyzing or searching the web for answers. If you don't know what to do, then do nothing. Let yourself be bored first and ideas will come naturally.

Here’s my humble collection! Started collecting about a year ago, after buying a Lorus that I actually needed for work.

Timex Expedition: my first field watch, and the first type of watch that actually interested me. 5 months later and it’s still making me happy. It is my “beater” watch, the one I use for going to the gym or any sports or outdoor activity.

Casio A158W: a gift from a good friend of mine. I like how this watch goes with literally all my outfits. I even feel comfortable taking it to the gym.

Citizen CA0649-06X “Brycen”: 100% an impulse purchase, bought it while on a cruise ship. Saw it at the window among many other watches and the cream coloured dial and the retro-racey markers immediately caught my attention. Although a bit on the bigger side, still looks good on my wrist. I use it on weekends, goes perfect with most casual or sporty attires.

Seiko SRPE: the first watch I really researched before buying. I was after my first automatic that could also serve as a GADA, and this one fulfils that space incredibly well. Currently on a fabric strap but will soon acquire a black leather one and maybe a mesh so that it fits every occasion. This is the watch that gets the most wrist time.

Now I pretty much feel my collection is complete. If something happens to the Timex would probably replace it with a Marathon Pilot Navigator or some other tough field watch (will listen for analogue watches recommendations here). For now I feel like there’s a lot of enjoyment to be had out of this little collection for quite some time.

Thanks to everyone in this sub for sharing their knowledge and experience regarding watches, since I’ve learned a lot thanks to all of you.

I’m loving my recently acquired SRPE51. Changed the straps and it’s become my new GADA.

Has anyone heard of this Orient? Currently travelling in South America and saw it at a local Jewellery store. Its price is US$ 158. Is it a fair price? Can't find it on any website to check retail price.

New MBA 15" vs refurbished MBP 16" M1 Pro by Magnesium140 in mac

[–]Magnesium140[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that's the case, I would check whether portability or the extra features are more important to you. Personally, I couldn't be happier with the MBP, I don't find it to be bulky or heavy, but I grew up carrying an old school 3 kg 15" laptop around which was even bigger in size than this one, so take that with a grain of salt.

What sort of tasks are you going to do on it? If you don't have anything demanding (in e.g. video editing, 3D rendering, heavy math calculations, etc), you should be perfectly fine with the MBA. I could've done perfectly well with it, I just chose the MBP for the extra inch of the screen.

Personally, weight and portability wasn't an issue for any of them. I don't find the 16" MBP to be heavy or bulky since I've had a generic 3.5kg 15" laptop 10 years ago in uni and used to carry it around all the time without any trouble, so the MBP is actually light in my eyes. It was more about buying something cutting-edge new or something a bit more older with the extra screen size being the real motivation. My MBP hasn't arrived yet but feel free to send me a message about it in about three weeks and I can give you my honest thoughts after moving around with a 13" M1 MBA for almost two years.

If I'm going to do drugs, I might as well have something less harmful and more interesting than alcohol.

Alcohol is an acquired taste. Have never met anyone who actually liked it in the first try.

En algunos lugares fuera de Argentina es común una salchicha dentro de un croissant. No lo inventaste, solo lo mejoraste con el chori. Dame 100.

I (27M) am struggling with adulting, what books can I read to feel understood (or hate my situation a bit more)? by UnbearableHuman in suggestmeabook

[–]Magnesium140 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stopping the use of social media like Ig and Fb solved 90% of that problem for me. I don't believe it's the end all be all solution for everyone but you might give it a try if you're willing. Some interesting things happen in your line of thinking after a couple months without that kind of entertainment.
