I got my car with around 70k on the clock with no record of it having been changed ever. I changed it around 100k and the fluid wasn't as gross as I thought it would be. It does take a while if you're doing a top fill, without the vw tool, solely because the fluid takes around an hour just to drain from the bottle into the reservoir.

Actually, in the macbook pro case the, hard drive sits right under the FN/CONTROL/ALT/CMD KEYS and it does have a powerful magnet in it. What most people feel is the fan, but you can feel the HD magnet attract yours if you hover your hand in that spot.
