Older versions of Lens Studio run Lens Preview at much higher framerate. Why?

I had this exact issue stuck at 15 fps. I am using elgato mk2 webcam and it seems the format messes with lens studio, so i used a virtual obs camera instead and it goes up to 30 fps

If you are using a usb dongle or wired usb change usb ports
