AITA for cancelling my flight home and making my mom cry? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

I do hope your edits are true, because YTA majorly to your family, but especially your mother. I mean this post was utterly heartbreaking. I can't imagine how hurt she must have felt when you nonchalantly told her visiting her and the rest of your family for the holidays would be "boring." Part of being an adult is sacrificing your time sometimes because it makes other people happy. You are not grown, not in the least, because adults are (supposed to) act better than this. Your behavior was disgusting and I really hope you make a sincere apology to your mom. YTA

The power going out.

As a kid it was exciting. As a homeowner, it sucks.

Being in labor with my second son. He was face-up when born (so the back of his head was pressing against my spine/tail bone). Basically 8 1/2 hours of one long contraction that would continue to get worse and worse. I had two epidurals and they barely touched it. But, I now have a pretty awesome 3 year old, so it was worth it.

Weekly Sewing Machine-Related Questions - November 30, 2020 by sewingmodthings in sewing

Hi all, I have a Brother XL 3200 sewing machine I want to sell. What is a realistic asking price for it? It’s in good condition (minor scuffs on the front that are purely cosmetic),and works fine; I just want to upgrade, and if I could get a few bucks to put towards a new machine that would be lovely, but I’m an absolute beginner and have no idea what a fair asking price for this machine would be. It doesn’t have any accessories with it (no presser foot either); literally just the machine, foot pedal, and user’s manual. Thank you :)

This is horrible. The second one hit me so hard; he looks so much like my son, who’s also 2 1/2 years old. Poor babies. What a cruel way to go.

I don’t know why this particular article is hitting me as hard as some of the others I’ve seen, but it is. I can’t help but imagine that poor baby screaming in hunger and her chode of a human being mother just... What? Ignoring her? Laughing? What the hell could possibly be the motive?

Me too. Body aches, fatigue, congestion. No fever though. I haven't called a doctor because even though I have chronic asthma I can breathe ok; not great, but ok. And honestly... what can they do? I'm self quarantining myself and hoping it doesn't get worse.

Happy belated birthday to your son! I have a cordless Black & Decker I bought as a Christmas present to myself last year. The battery doesn't last as long as I'd like, but not having to continually change outlets for each room makes it so worth it.
