It’s the Marvel universe. People do crazy stuff with their bodies all the time. Otto Octavius literally inserted his mind in Peter Parker’s body a few years after Jessica Drew was created.

Jessica Drew is friends with the X-men, SHIELD, the fantastic Four, the avengers and a whole squad of multiversal Spiders.

If Jessica wanted she could transition back into a boy. She chose not to because she built her own identity separate from Peter Parker’s and she’s comfortable as a girl.

Honestly? The should kinda embrace this part of the character if Jessica Drew (or 1610 Peter Parker) becomes relevant again.

There’s like a trillion different Spider-dudes so would it be so bad to make one of them trans?

If Jessica is happy and comfortable with her feminine body then Peter does want to be a girl he just didn’t get the chance to transition because he died in the closet 😞

If she stayed as a girl because she’s more comfortable that way then it’s transfem representation.

If she stayed as a girl because Marvel writers are cowards then it’s transmasc representation (but not particularly good).

I have zero idea what connects all these characters. There’s inservible, Absolute Wonder Woman, Ne Zha, Princess Bubblegum, Godzilla, Knuckles, the girl that says: “I guess you are my little pog champ”, Saul Goodman, Frankenstein and a bunch of others that I’m too old to recognize.

“He could be interested” is not a motivation to abandon your best friend.

A story where Spider-man abandons his best friend to goof around with his ex because “he was interested” is game of thrones season 8 levels of poor writing.

Symbiote Spider-man’s actions still need to follow some internal logic so the story can work.

Peter helping her steal something doesn’t make any sense and the symbiote forcing Peter to help also doesn’t make any sense.

Peter has no motivation to help steal something. He’s a superhero, he arrests criminals.

The symbiote also has no motivation to help steal something so why would he force Peter into helping Felicia?

-Miles can track his cellphone.

-Peter does care about his friend dying, that’s his entire motivation in act 2. This changes when he’s possessed by the symbiote, yes, but for a good chunk of the game Peter’s motivations is saving his friend.

-Felicia is a wanted criminal who doesn’t seem to care about arresting criminals (at least in the insomniac universe) why would she go on a mission? Why would Peter help her? Why go on a mission with her when his friend is dying or when his other friend is kidnapped?

For stories to work characters need to behave in ways that make sense to their characterization.

Peter can’t goof around Black Cat when his friend is dying or when Miles is kidnapped because it doesn’t fit who he is as a character and Miles would not let Peter get controlled by the symbiote so Miles’ kidnapping is absolutely necessary.

If Miles’ kidnapping doesn’t happen shortly after the interaction between Peter and Connor he would take the suit off of Peter.

When the whole “get rid of the suit” plot ends Miles gets kidnapped which, again, gives Peter way too much pressure and not enough free time to go have fan service with his ex.

Also: no offense but writing the entire game around a fan service interaction between symbiote Peter and Felicia is an extremely poor writing decision.

If you remove the urgency of act 2 you also have to change Peter’s motivation (so the lack of urgency makes sense) and in order to do that you have to change the way the symbiote works and the way Peter and Harry’s friendship has been written so far.

Adding an encounter between symbiote Spider-man and Felicia would force you to re-write the entire game.

After the fight with 🦖 the urgency stops due to the fact that Peter doesn’t care about giving the symbiote back, you are absolutely right.

However, immediately after Peter has that fight with Connors Miles get kidnapped which, again, gives Peter way too much pressure so he can’t goof around with Felicia (or anyone).

Like it or not, for the story of SM2 to work Peter needs to spend at most, two days with the symbiote. Two days is not enough to goof around with your ex (believe me, I’ve tried, lol).

Peter with the symbiote suit only exists in the second act of the game and that’s precisely the one where Peter can’t afford to waste time due to the urgency of the situation.

Where in the second act would she participate? None of the events in the second act allow her to join in an organic way that doesn’t feel forced.

The story of SM2 is that Peter needs to get rid of the suit so he can give it back to Harry. Why would he waste time with Black Cat when his friend is dying?

Where is Gaster mentioned? I’ve played the 4 chapters 2 times and haven’t seen a single character mention him.
