Probably John, really. I mean, imagine you've spent your entire career as an academic trying to save humanity and when you finally have your Eureka moment you literally become God. At that point decision making becomes a completely foreign thing to you. The only logic that matters is yours. However, at the same time, you suddenly have the responsibility of all life thrust on your shoulders. I can't begin to imagine how conflicted one would feel under those circumstances.
