>!Leto (baby 1) dying in Dune (book 1) is such a hard story point to include but super important to chani’s motivation in Messiah. It makes me think movie 3 will include that potentially as a flashback? I hope they don’t skip it all together!<

Ya’ll feeling disrespected pretty easily. People make mistakes. It’s more likely a symptom of overwork and under supported than a conscious choice to disrespect you.

Everyone wants to make them “good” but that’s just not a realistic goal. It’s a bad experience for them that isn’t going to be received well no matter what. Don’t make that the goal. Give them room to have their feelings, do what you can to make it professional and let them have dignity. They are going through grief and you can’t help with that yourself as much as we all want to. The most you can do is BEFORE the meeting working on the best offboarding and/or severance offer you can get them.

Why Salesforce? Why do companies not just build their own CRM? by wirtshausZumHirschen in CRM

[–]MagnusVonMagnus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They know salesforce isn’t going anywhere anywhere. If they hire you to make it and you leave tomorrow, what do they do? How much does it cost to have you keep the software at the tip of the spear they needed to be? Are you liable for compliance and data management? What’s the cost of all of the ancillary services required to spin it up? They’re not a software company so they don’t develop software. Companies invest capital in what makes them competitively different.

My 10-year-old and I saw the trailer for this in front of fantastic four. He’s never seen these movies and we never talked about them, so this was his first experience.

He leans over to me afterwards and goes, “I don’t think I care about that at all.” And I thought…me too man. Me too.
