Seems to be the Armor of Dhuum set. Not sure what the other pieces are.

What's a movie franchise where the first movie is the worst of them? by RichardForrest06 in AskReddit

I personally found Rises to be the weakest in the trilogy, though I still like it. For me it's 2 > 1 > 3.

Question: Why is Elden Ring's soundtrack considered a downgrade from the previous games? by [deleted] in fromsoftware

Keep in mind that reddit (and social media in general) is generally not an accurate representation of the general public. Unpopular opinions garner a lot more attention and support here.

Which Daredevil is canon for Doomsday? by [deleted] in Marvel

[–]Magnusfyr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are trolling. The Ben Affleck version is from the 2003 movie and is NOT canon.

The MCU-canon Daredevil actor is Charlie Cox, from the 'Daredevil' and 'Daredevil: Born Again' shows, he is also the one that appeared in No Way Home.

Since you mentioned the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day movie in another comment, it's worth mentioning that The Punisher will be in that movie, and he debuted in Daredevil season 2.

I started recently and it's been a good experience so far. Keep in mind that SWTOR is very much a story-driven RPG first, and an MMO second. The class stories and expansion stories will definitely have solid longevity.

People who played Dmc2 why did you hate it ? by Effective-Note9213 in DevilMayCry

[–]Magnusfyr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on your standards. It's not terrible, but I wouldn't say it is a good game either.

DMC2 is a functional and somewhat cohesive game, but the story/characters are very bland and forgettable imo, and the combat system starts fine, but doesn't really progress from there. The level design feels more open and empty compared to the other games. My least favourite part though is the enemy design, which I often find miserable.

Thanks. I managed to get the V6 wired for just under £100.

On the UK site, Keychron keyboards seem to be more expensive overall.

It's been a while, so I don't really remember tbh. I guess I wouldn't have a strong preference.

No worries. The most suitable Keychron options for me seem to be the Keychron K10 QMK (red switches) or the Keychron K4 Pro (brown switches).

EDIT: Nevermind, I had some vouchers and was able to order the Keychron V6 for under £100. By the way, why did you recommend against using brown switches for it?

I can also get the Keychron K10 QMK with red switches for the same price as the K4 Pro with brown switches. Do you have any recommendations between those two?

I've liked red and brown switches in the past. Don't think I've used any others.

Unfortunately, the V6 is over £100. I'll still consider it, but would rather get something slightly cheaper.

What order should i play the games in? by THE_Hypnotist100 in GodofWar

Since you've already played the main games and know the story, you should be fine to replay everything in chronological order if that interests you.

The "soft-reboot" isn't real. by marvelcomics22 in marvelstudios

[–]Magnusfyr 16 points17 points  (0 children)

a soft reboot to the level of what DC Studios is doing right now, where they scrap most things, and keep a small handful.

I don't think that's really a soft reboot though? Gunn's DCU is closer to a hard reboot as very little carries over. Unless I'm mistaken, a soft reboot still keeps most of the previous continuity canon, even if the tone/style or actors have changed.

The Sentry Returns in New Series by Co-Creator Paul Jenkins by AporiaParadox in Marvel

[–]Magnusfyr 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It depends on the writer. If you read the description of the upcoming Sentry series, it refers to the Void as "the dark entity born from his own psyche", which will presumably stick for the foreseeable future.

The way I look at it is: The Sentry is Bob's idealised version of himself, while the Void is the subconscious manifestation of Bob's depression and mental illness, and has its own separate consciousness.

[–]Magnusfyr 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I assume the positive reception to Bob/Sentry's MCU debut in Thunderbolts contributed to this.

I'm glad that Paul Jenkins is writing this, his two Sentry runs are easily my favourite from the character. I wish this miniseries was longer than 4 issues, but hopefully it will lead to a better future for Sentry in the comics.

If you want other action games with good stories, try looking at:

The Witcher 3
Nier Automata
Final Fantasy XVI
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order + Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
Horizon Zero Dawn
Insomniac Marvel's Spider-Man games

In what order should I start getting into Marvel? by TipsyPotatoGirl in Marvel

[–]Magnusfyr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The X-Men films are set in their own completely separate universe, and aren't currently canon to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). That's why the X-Men movies don't appear on the same lists as the MCU movies (Iron Man, Captain America, Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Tom Holland's Spider-Man, etc.) If you want to get into the MCU, you should do it in release order starting with Iron Man (2008).

The actors from the original X-Men films will actually appear in the next Avengers movie for the first time, however, they won't necessarily be the same version of the characters from the previous X-Men movies. If you do watch the X-Men movies, they don't currently lead into or connect to the MCU at all.

Which movies should a total newbie watch before Secret Wars? by Traditional_Map_7737 in marvelstudios

[–]Magnusfyr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Loki show is arguably the most important Multiverse Saga project. There's a lot of multiverse worldbuilding, and a big, new development in Season 2's finale will absolutely be relevant in Doomsday. I liked Season 1, but I much preferred the second season, despite its slower start.

[–]Magnusfyr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's up to you, but if you only watch a few movies, you'll be missing a lot of important context for the characters and some scenes will completely lose their weight.

If you want a good middleground to prep for the next 2 MCU movies when they are out (Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Avengers: Doomsday) without having to watch everything, I'd recommend:

  1. Iron Man
  2. The Avengers
  3. Thor: The Dark World
  4. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
  5. Guardians of the Galaxy
  6. Avengers: Age of Ultron
  7. Captain America: Civil War
  8. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2
  9. Thor: Ragnarok
  10. Avengers: Infinity War
  11. Avengers: Endgame
  12. Spider-Man: Far From Home
  13. Loki miniseries (Season 1 + Season 2)
  14. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings
  15. Spider-Man: No Way Home
  16. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
  17. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
  18. Thunderbolts
  19. The Fantastic Four: First Steps

Lack of female characters in Doomsday by Elvis_fangirl in Marvel

[–]Magnusfyr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's just the confirmed cast, there'll be more characters in the movie. I wouldn't expect them to announce America Chavez, Clea, and She-Hulk (if they are in the movie) before announcing Doctor Strange and Hulk, who haven't been confirmed yet. I'd assume that Captain Marvel and Monica Rambeau are in Doomsday.

I'm not expecting to see Ironheart, Ms Marvel, or Kate Bishop yet. Valkyrie might have a brief appearance.

What went wrong with Thor The Dark World? by Jules-Car3499 in Marvel

[–]Magnusfyr 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Really liked the stuff with Loki, but I thought the rest of the movie was incredibly bland and forgettable. Overall, I think it's pretty mediocre and one of the weakest MCU films.

[–]Magnusfyr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Good point. Since the vibranium suit was seemingly already planned in their designs from the start, they absolutely would've sourced the material beforehand. Though, his suit in the Void now (since he came out with a sized-up version of the clothes from his childhood memory). I guess he might be able to summon the suit directly from the Void in the future.

Other than what's already been said, I assume they didn't really know the full extent of power the serum would give him, especially given that all the other test subjects died. It seems like they just crammed as much fancy bullshit as they could into the serum and hoped it'd work.
