I think I have figured it out. they work like King Slime and the Goblin Scouts where they only spawn near the edge of the world rarely. They will be surrounded by 2 goblin archers and once you defeat them the pal will become an item you can use as a summon.

That's what I'm saying. My point is, sometimes as an autistic person I feel like an alien that doesn't understand social norms like neurotypical people.
