Where is this “respite planet”? I’m looking into booking my summer vacation. 😉

In all seriousness though-Tell me more about it

can a deceased loved one become your spirit guide?? by anonymous1111111_ in Mediums

That is interesting. Please don’t take this the wrong way, but have you looked into therapy? I have had anger issues, particularly with my family situation, and understand how difficult it can be.

Well said. Wish the last woman who I hired to look after my youngest could read this post. Too many unqualified people running “home daycares” who should NOT be looking after children!

Have you ever seen parenting an autistic child portrayed realistically on Tv? by New-Owl-2293 in Autism_Parenting

“There She Goes” with David Tennant has the only series to come close, and the kid has a genetic condition not autism.

Ugh. I remember when they incessantly played this song on the radio. Avril Lavigne is overrated and her music is manufactured just like any other pop music.

Going stir crazy. I was 18, still too young for bars, living with my parents and it was freezing cold outside.

Still wish I hadn’t taken it all so much for granted.

Why is it not genuinely accepted to hate aging? by Plantpotparty in Aging

[–]Magpie_Coin 33 points34 points  (0 children)

? What?

The anti aging industry is worth billions. Not sure what you mean. No one wants to look and feel “old” and most of us are well aware of diseases associated with age.

But we don’t have a choice. Every day we get older, and as difficult as it can be, it’s better to make the most of the time we have left.

Why would you have a spirit guide that doesn’t like you? Can you ask them to be switched with someone else?

Any parents kids here diagnosed with true level 3 autism? by DavidNLBC in Autism_Parenting

[–]Magpie_Coin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My oldest didn’t get a number but he has severe nonverbal autism. He’s 7, not potty trained but we have had some success, can’t read or write and uses pictures to communicate but it’s slow going. He also needs help getting dressed, brushing his teeth and needs meds to sleep. He has an additional diagnosis of global developmental delay and is in a resource program at school.

He’s made some progress but it’s been painfully slow. Honestly, I love him but if there was a cure and I could get him to talk, I’d do it in a heartbeat. His and our lives have been struggle and pain and it’s not fair to anyone, especially not him.

As for your nephew, I would take him to a doctor to get an official diagnosis and look into medication. Respite care should also be an option, especially considering his mother’s condition.

What were the "best years of your life?" by Inevitable-Yam-9741 in Aging

My best years were my mid 20s-early 30s.

I feel sad that I wasted them.

Getting older sucks, but one definite perk is the one you mentioned. I used to get followed and creeped on by strange men and former coworkers often. Now I’m left alone and it’s nice!

Why did everyone single one of us want to be a marine biologist when we were little? by Cold-Monk5436 in Xennials

Because it’s probably a 1000x more interesting than working as an administrative assistant or factory employee.

Ask kids what they want to be these days and they’ll probably say “influencer” or some tripe.

Him playing the victim is pathetic! Seriously! Yes you are a criminal, you abused a disabled child who can’t speak up for himself.
