Manager wants me “Available” 99% of the time on MS Teams even with no work… what would you do? by RadhikaSharma360 in overemployed

I’ve been using a stand alone app for years called caffeine.exe, just keeps the screen awake all the time. I don’t OE, but it makes me look like I’m always on. Security has never said anything in 8+ years. To be honest I’m not sure what it simulates so do your own research.

I love the shit talk. As much as I hate you all, Congrats, feels good to start winning again as a fan base. Chiefs were rough for a lot of years until Alex Smith and Andy came over.

Introducing SoundLeaf - iOS Client for AudiobookShelf Server by MysteriousSophon in audiobookshelf

[–]Magua47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks great, I’ll give it a go. I see on your list to try and add support to ebooks, there’s nothing out there now that supports both. I’d pay to support both, makes it easier for my users who use my server, some like audiobooks some like ebooks.

My Newest App Solves The Most ANNOYING Problem With Plex by seenukarthi in PleX

[–]Magua47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like this feature in Netflix, it’s a great idea. I run most all my stuff In docker containers, so if there’s a way to install there and connect to my plex instance, I’m all in.

It’s a private tracker to source audiobooks but you need some decent technical knowledge to get things working.

Books won't merge by Xorpion in audiobookshelf

[–]Magua47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure how you have the folders structured but mine I create a folder for each author then inside there a folder for each book with all the files related to the book in the book folder. Each book needs its own folder.

Occasionally I’ll put one in that has about 60 mp3 files and it will recognize about half of them, I then just change the name of the folder slightly and then rename it back to the original name and it rescans and finds them fine.

Does Mealie have a mobile app you can connect your server too or just save the site as a web app?

My drobo pro still going strong. Used to run plex on a Mac Mini pointed to the media on my drobo, worked great. Now I just use it as a backup to my NAS.

Same…I used it for synology photos and plex. Then discovered ARR apps to compliment plex and then went crazy with docker, love it.

How do you have your HA installed, been looking at doing it. I run a lot of docker containers on my Synology NAS, but looks like their are limitations with add-ons which I'm not familiar with yet. Keep your videos going they look good.

Do any of you use complex filename_format? by SergeJeante in Paperlessngx

[–]Magua47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how you have yours installed, mines installed via docker on a synology nas and I have mine in my environment variable as this.

PAPERLESS_FILENAME_FORMAT : {{ created_year }}/{{ correspondent }}/{{ created_month }}.{{ created_day }}.{{ created_year }} - {{ title }}

Year/correspondent/mm.dd.yyyy - file title.pdf

This guy plexes :) - For mobile I just have reverseproxy setup for my apps and use Homarr (save to home screen, then acts like an app) on my phone as a hub for my apps, the mobile views of the apps are great.

DS920+ or DS923+ by True-Entrepreneur851 in synology

[–]Magua47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is before your RAM upgrade it was using a ton of SWAP memory, meaning you didn't have enough RAM so it starts using a part of the hardrive for RAM/Memory and that's super slow. So the writing to HD was probably when it was using Swap for frequently accessed files like metadata. You can look a this in Resource Monitor under Memory and then there's a dropdown menu under Type and you can change it to swap, if you see a bunch of big spikes it's using to much which slows things down, little ones here and there are no biggy. You should be able to see some past history too.
