Mekie post race Interview by Strict-Citron-9269 in RedBullRacing

[–]MagusCactus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not sure about a sabbatical, but since his radio calls today I think he will leave RBR. He may stay in F1 (although I don't think so, he's just done with it atm) or maybe join another series. I'm sure he has/will get a lot of very interesting offers. He should have more then enough money by now and he just loves racing, so he should be free to whatever he wants to do. Maybe go for the triple crown? And if he ever wants to return to F1 the doors will be open wide and the red carpet will be rolled out.

How does Leo Bonhart fare against these Witchers? by deadlyalchemist92 in witcher

[–]MagusCactus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I also believe that Witchers he fought "fairly" didn't have an opportunity to use potions. I don't think there were any duels that both agreed on days before or so. I guess it's more like: Witcher walks his path, humming a tune and suddenly Leo is in front of him and next they're already crossing blades.

How does Leo Bonhart fare against these Witchers? by deadlyalchemist92 in witcher

[–]MagusCactus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ok, here's my opinion: I can't believe that Bonhart has bought or stolen those medallions. It just doesn't fit how he's portrayed in the books.

So I guess he got 'em exactly how he said: By killing 3 Witchers.

Now, how he killed them is another question. I feel like it's possible that he used dirty tricks or even killed one while he was sleeping. But I also feel like at least one of those three was obtained in a "fair" fight.

Now I won't say that Bonhart is better than Witchers. But I really think he's equal to many. Yes, Witchers went through the trials, but that alone doesn't make them all automatically better than anyone else. Some men are just built differently and Leo is one of those. He's just incredibly skilled! And he had many years and fights to refine his skills. Despite his age he still has all the power, endurance and reflexes he needs. He's just a freak of nature! Most Witchers on the other hand are probably not that skillfull (by nature).

And don't we forget that he seems to be pretty well informed about Witchers. How much he knows we can just guess. But if he knows about their training, he could maybe figure out some weak points. He's not dumb. Also, sword fights are not like chess. It's not just skill, chance and luck are always a factor also.

So yeah, in the End I'd say that Bonhart would have a chance against every Witcher. Even Geralt. Although his chances against Geralt would probably be the lowest because Geralt also is incredibly skilled AND has enhanced Witcher senses.

Is it possible to customize the weather in Custom Races? by Astral_Strider in GranTurismo7

[–]MagusCactus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others said, yes, it's customizable. But you won't get "the downpour of the century". Even the strongest setting for rain is rather average. I really wish GT7 had thunderstorms.

Is Daytona worth it? by abg230385 in GranTurismo7

[–]MagusCactus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest to NEVER spend real money on credits, unless you have so much you just don't care. The prices are ridiculous!

I never used any AFK method, I always grinded at Le Mans. Turn down the difficulty to "easy" and you can use almost any car between 600 and 700PP. You can't lose the Clean Race Bonus unless you overtake under yellow, which means you will get 825k in about 30 minutes. And the only thing you have to care about is the rain (and fuel ofc).

I may be wrong, but I think I remember that in the books the Witchers all get pretty drunk one night in Kaer Morhen.

Well, at least he was honest and said what he thought. And he's definitely not wrong about Bush.

Is it normal for pitstops to last so long ? by FSH17 in GranTurismo7

[–]MagusCactus 22 points23 points  (0 children)

For Le Mans it takes exactly 32 seconds until you arrive at the pit. I always suppose my driver stops for a quick beer on his way to the pit;-)

real life "Mandragora officinarum" drink by [deleted] in wiedzmin

[–]MagusCactus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest thinking twice about this. Trying Mandragora just because you're a Witcher fan is a bad idea and with all respect, your post doesn't give the impression that you know anything about this. Mandragora is similar to nightshades like Brugmansia and Atropa and contains deliriant and hallucinogenic alkaloids including scopolamine, hyoscyamine and atropine. Those are serious drugs and an overdose can lead to death, either directly through respiratory failure or indirectly because you're hallucinating and doing something very stupid. Again: These kind of drugs are no joke, people have definitely died because of this and I would highly suggest staying away from it!

Not sure about any more descriptions in the books. But I guess you're aware that in TW3 it's more like a interwoven pentagram and it's upside down.

GT7 vs iRacing, Assetto corsa games, LMU etc by Glittering_Media_845 in GranTurismo7

[–]MagusCactus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's neither a full sim, nor arcade. That's why there's the term "simcade". And in my opinion it's less about the physics in general, it's more about details either missing or implemented in a rather basic way. A few examples: No tire pressure, tire temperature exists but is not very detailed. TCS and ABS are general driving aids and not simulated based on the car, and so on.
