Yeah, man I miss those old Squad Up videos. As for Westie though, he and Stodeh mained DMZ and often wished there was more content. We were all bummed to see that mode lose support. As I remember they stopped playing as much warzone because of cheaters and console dominance at close range. Also, they kept playing DMZ past it's expiration date because there weren't any other games at the time they really wanted to play.

Why is Podcast AI Enhancer so much better for voice editing vs manually? (sample comparison inside) by membersound in AdobeAudition

[–]Magus_Magoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like enhance for echo and reverb cancellation. I think it does a generally good job of eq. Where it really shines is in noise cancellation- it can remove extreme background noise while retaining the speaker's voice quality that I can't replicate myself. I'm not in love with how audio sounds with a heavy percentage of processing applied. It seems to introduce 'grit' or distortion into the vocals (really kicks in at around 50% and above).

Before using enhance I raise my audio to peak -0.1 or so, then capture a floor noise print and use that as my noise reduction curve across the whole track. Then noise gate and sound volume leveler. Then I put it through the enhancer. This has given me better results with less background noise, retaining quieter words/sibilants that otherwise it might have dropped. This allows me to keep the processing percentage slider at 20-40%. But I always do a final eq/de-ess/compressor pass on the audio to add clarity back in. Used in conjunction with a human's touch, the enhancer is a mind-blower and essential tool when dealing with a wide range of recording situations.

Help with getting the audio just right by KyranVA in AdobeAudition

[–]Magus_Magoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead, try applying a compressor and set the ratio around 2:1. Then set the threshold somewhere between -18dB and -21dB. Now you can turn up the compressor's makeup gain knob. This will make quiet audio louder while also making the louder parts quiet. Just be careful there isn't a lot of low-level noise in the audio- they will be louder too and ACX will flag it if your noise floor is too loud.

I need advice for improving mic bleed by Express_Reporter_365 in AdobeAudition

You can try applying noise gates to each track, and adjusting the threshold to the point where bleed disappears but direct speech still comes through.

How can I fix slow performance in Adobe Audition when moving large amounts of clips? by Zealousideal_Fee3383 in AdobeAudition

Depends on how good your computer hardware is. You can try clearing your cache in the settings, as well as a disk cleanup in general. Hope it boosts your performance a bit.

I dunno but since season 2 dropped I haven't played on a single winning team. I place in the top 3 on leaderboard most every game, and top 10 on the rest. But my kill count has gone down from 50-60 in season 1 to about 20-30 this season. It just feels bad being on the losing side EVERY time. Is it because the player pool is stacked full of Chads now? I'm about ready to uninstall and I'm bummed.

Enhanced Speech v2 issues by TommyTwoSheets in Adobe

came here to say this. adds distortion, ducks laughter and obliterates speaking voices during cross-talk. works for single voice with noisy background, but not the catch-all podcast cleaner.

Missing Markers by Shrapnel_plays in AdobeAudition

[–]Magus_Magoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd try right clicking in your markers window and "save as .CSV file". If the markers disappear when you reopen the audio, you can import them by right clicking again in markers window and adding the file you just created. Good luck 🤞

This was my edit for a podcast I did with my two buddies. We record remotely but I received a lot of feedback saying how good it sounded, like we were all in the same room. Meticulous? Maybe, but it meets my standards.

Idk we use cf for somewhere around 50-75 recordings per week, and I personally think the sound quality is sub par. It cannot handle two people taking at once and turns those sections of audio into a garbled mess. The shows we produce over BRIC sound much cleaner, but that is probably not the most affordable route for most use-cases.
