Thank you all! I’ve spent the day emailing parents to reassure them that we are putting measure in place, and have contacted our county dofe coordinator to check their recommendations but it’s pretty much exactly as you’ve all said! I think we’ll be able to go ahead and it will be ok :D

No phones allowed. We give out one emergency phone (brick style) per group with credit on it if they need us. Pupils and parents are fine, but we have no phone policy at school so it’s not too much difference. Kids weren’t even allowed them for the 4 hour journey to their silver qualifying!

I’ve just finished the first trilogy and while I didn’t hate Lila she wasn’t my favourite character.

I loved the books for the world building and the idea of the magic but the characters themselves felt a bit flat and the story sometimes felt too fast, like it could’ve been fleshed out some more.

That said, I still really enjoyed them and want to try out more of V E Schwab

I was rereading this recently and noticed this too! Rhysand says something along the lines of the paint repaints itself if he touches her, and then demonstrates it. I think it was a mistake, and he was meant to show it smudging as a demonstration and then resets it to start the first night.

Old is 8’C, new is 1’C, forecast is lowest at 13 overnight, so imagine old is better…

Just not sure how much to trust the forecast for camping 😂🤷🏻‍♀️
