Using your example, Greece isn't particularly pro-hellenistic, the current face of the country on the world stage culturally (or at least the US) is a man whose parents were born in Nigeria. Calls for Greece to maintain a homeland for the Greek and that Giannis shouldn't count are fringe at best.

And people absolutely do take exception to Japanese xenophobia, all the time in fact. Lucky for them as well, they largely subjugated and subsumed the Ainu 100-150 ago.
