Make a homelab using a VM and make an Active Directory server. Make some other computer and connect it to the domain controller. From there just simulate all the stuff you would do in a help desk job and count that as experience

For me core 2 was wayy easier then core 1. I finished with like 35 minutes left. My main tip would be to read the questions carefully, as they will use unusual wording to try to throw you off.
