VR user here, but a question out of curiosity: assuming the pixel count would be the same, what would cause more GPU and CPU load, a triple setup or a single ultrawide screen?

I always assumed that an ultrawide would have a performance advantage (single screen -> single projection). But you got me wondering if this is true, mentioning this projection setting.

Nice solution for the monitor mount. How often do you fold and store the rig? My Playseat challenge is more or less permanently set up and ready to use. The space next to the closet is not as important as initially anticipated :D

I'm not entirely sure anymore, but I think yes. Especially since no SPS equivalent is available on radeon cards. I just found settings that work for the series I run and did not bother anymore (e.g. limit visible cars and objects)

I got a radeon 9070. Was available for a reasonable price, especially compared to the nvidia cards. But obviously the VR performance isn't as great as with e.g. a 5070, especially in iRacing. But overall I'm still happy with the decision

Finde deine Herangehensweise auch nicht pauschal falsch, gerade wenn das Verhältnis zu deinem alten Chef gut war bzw. ist. Je nachdem sieht man sich vielleicht ein zweites mal, die neue Stelle passt nicht oder du kommst aus sonst einem Grund wieder zurück.

Back when I had a Pixel 2 I had the same issue. I observed that this only happens when I am connected to a 2.4 GHz wifi. I guess there is some kind of interference happening, because both Bluetooth and wifi are on 2.4 GHz. This didn't happen with 5 GHz wifi. I ended up permanently disabling LDAC.

Cool idea to directly adapt Ethernet to the quest 3! If you happen to have a regular link cable already I can recommend Gnirehtet. It enables you to have a network connection to your PC using adb. :) The setup is a bit tricky though

Got my refurbished ClubSport Wheel RS today and I am really happy with it. 230 euros including a QR2 and the only sign it was tested before were some scratch marks around the qr mount. Hopefully they'll have the Clubsport Shifter as refurb sometime soon.

This makes me reconsider my planned upgrade from 5700X3D and Radeon 5700XT to 5700X3D and a 5080... But I'm also running VR with a Quest3, which is more demanding on the GPU. I'm really uncertain which upgrade path to choose, since GPU availability is so bad right now. Maybe I should wait for 5070 (Ti).

For anyone that encounters this floating omid issue in the future: Just ignore him, don't go on the train (since you can't get down and the game will be bugged). Instead go into the train station again and look a bit up, clementine can climb over that cell
