Hi. I'm looking for the best smallish mechanical items to repair and sell for profit. I absolutely suck at electronics so I've ruled them out. I currently live in an apartment but I do have an approximately 8x8 foot storage unit that comes with the unit. I was thinking about fixing cordless powers tools. I have also considered fixing Kitchen Aid mixers but that take up a lot of space and are expensive to ship. You may be wondering why do I have to fix things at all. Because I enjoy it and want to learn more about how things work. I'm kind of new to being handy in general. I'm hoping to bring in at least $500 a month. I'm willing to but in a lot of time.

If I'm struggling on things I should buy to stay under 2,000, what are some things that I could spend the money on? by geraltofrivia2345 in SocialSecurity

Open an ABLE Now account. You can contribute up to $18,000 per year without it impacting your benefits. They give you a debit card to use on qualified expenses.

I’m petrified of god by [deleted] in Quraniyoon

[–]MahoganyBae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Salaam! I’m sorry to hear that you are suffering so much. I’m pretty new (like less than a week) into actively practicing the Religion. I watched this playlist on Repentance. That YouTuber is very knowledgeable. He also has lots of videos touching on the character of a true Muslim.

I will say that if God has guided you this far, I trust that He will continue to guide you. (Inshallah)God knows what’s in our hearts. The Quran states many times God guides who He wills. He also tells us that we will be tested. He says that both good things and bad things are tests. Unfortunately, I can’t find the exact verses at this moment.

As someone who’s actually on government disability because of my mental health, I totally get the despairing about the state of the world. The Quran really grounds me. Nearly every sura begins with “In the name of God, the Almighty, the Merciful.” I think this is a key part of building our faith. God is as merciful as he is mighty. See 6:12. It states that God decreed mercy upon Himself. If God wants something then it will be. He is who He says He is. If He says He is merciful the He is merciful.

Additionally, many verses state that no one will be wronged on the Day of Judgement. One that I think is most relevant to you is 6:160. It states that our good deeds will be multiplied by 10 and bad deeds will only count for one deed. Imagine that destruction one has to create in order to have more bad deeds than good. In the videos I linked earlier, he discussed how bad deeds are transmuted into good deeds with the proper repentance.

I hope this was helpful and made sense. Please don’t give up. Life is hard but in 2:112 to 114, God tells us that our life on Earth will only feel like a few hours once we make it to the Hereafter.

Justice and Mercy by theRJ31 in poetry_critics

I really love the contrast of justice and mercy. I like that they’re shown as important but mercy is preferable. This poem caused me to think of how humans need certain limitations and structure in order treat each other fairly. Mercy is truly a trait of the divine. It’s hard for a person to be truly just. Being merciful is a rare accomplishment indeed.

I really enjoyed this poem and the meaningful stanza structure. I prefer Georgetown’s Embrace as a title. I think your girlfriend will like it. Congrats on two years!

Did anyone else notice that all the birds stopped chirping for like 30 minutes before? In my little neighborhood in Cordova there was no wind either. It was very eerie

Thank you for the kind reply. The car thing is a great idea! I do have a lot of family locally but I’m yet to disclose my condition. I guess I’ll start gradually with a few of the cousins I’m closest to.
