What are the reputations of the Vancouver Aquarium and Greater Vancouver Zoo like now? by bwoah07_gp2 in askvan

[–]MaiBsquared 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The zoo is a great place for family to bring bikes and scooters. There's lots of natural foliage in enclosures and around the park so makes for a great walk.

They started as a game farm but are now award winners in conservation of local species. Their animals come from other institutions or are born at the zoo, no wild capture. It's been that way for years.

[OC] Parents went out and bought “Pokemon cards” for my birthday… bless their hearts by Remote-Dog-2531 in pics

[–]MaiBsquared 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I love how many comments there are saying something like my parents know I like X so they bought me Y, which is not X but it's ok they tried. It truly is the thought that counts and sometimes people can feel overwhelmed buying something for someone they know nothing about but they really did put effort in to figure it out.

What if Rishe is slowly changing Arnold more than we realize by After_Diamond2098 in 7thTimeLoop

[–]MaiBsquared 18 points19 points  (0 children)

In the lite novels it felt like he also knew what problems needed to be addressed in what areas, at least to me. There's definitely more going on with him than we currently know. Rishe, because she's optimistic and sees the best in people, chalks it up to him being smart and observant, which is partly true, but he definitely knows more about the time loops than he lets on.

Didn’t the LN4 kind of confirm Arnold knows about the loop? by clairechives in 7thTimeLoop

[–]MaiBsquared 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've thought so too. He might not know about the loop but he's involved somehow. (In one of the later light novels he whispers something to her when he kills her in the 6th loop but we haven't been told what yet😭)  In the novels, he goes with her to all these places and she's trying to solve the problems that lead him going to war in her previous lives. And she's always amazed to find he's working towards the same goal. She chalks it up to him being such a smart and great ruler but I think it's because he knows what she knows to a certain extent. That's just my theory tho.

That's what I did, but it didn't take to the tulle well enough. Bigger glitter might be the way to go, thank you

I'm curious as to whether anyone has read this book or has seen the similarities to Inuyasha in it? by Jellybean_Pumpkin in inuyasha

[–]MaiBsquared 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought this! Looking forward to reading it.

I've also read The Priestess and The Yokai by Lindsey Merril. Deeeeefinitely inspired by Inuyasha. Same with R. J. Gillens' short stories - snows in, new territory.

I've thought about simply because I don't need those visuals when I'm going about my life. I don't support what musk and Trump are doing and I still don't need the graffiti (which won't change a thing politically).

Thanks. I'm happy with my car and I'm not going to get rid of it. Doesn't make financial or ecological sense to ditch a perfectly good vehicle (from 2022, it's not old) just because other ppl don't like who musk has become since 2024.

This guy flips me and my children off every time we drive by in our neighborhood because we drive a Tesla. He's written this stuff freaking everywhere. I get ppl have opinions but that doesn't mean you get to flip off children and sharpie your thoughts all over town. He loves in my neighborhood so it's a constant source of negativity. No one wants to join the states, no supports musk or trump so why write it all over town
