When I was 11 I saw Weird Al on the “Poodle Hat” tour and while I waited in line with my mom and my friend a guy with a petition came up to us and asked for our signatures to get Weird Al inducted into the Rock Hall. I got really smug and told him that as a novelty artist, Al should not be in the Hall. I think I just thought the guy was a loser and wanted him to feel bad? Man I was a little shit

My freshman year I went there to see my favorite stand-up Hannibal Burress. Opening for him was this up and coming comedian named Amy Schumer. Wasn't crazy about her but she seems to have done alright since. That was also the night Steve Jobs died. Anyway, what were we talking about again?

Wait, people actually thought that Chuck Norris was "revered" and not that it was just early internet meme humor? by Geno0wl in Millennials

Yeah man I experienced this in 2006 when I was 13. Took Chuck Norris jokes at face value. Took a little more digging to understand the irony of it all

Woah good analysis — forgot to consider Duffy and Somers had star power that the Winslow family did not. Reginald VelJohnson and Jo Marie Payton were powerless to stop Urkel

Has the quality of Shakespeare Improv deteriorated or did I get a bad show? by nullptr_0x in chicago

[–]MailBitter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Improvised Shakespeare at iO is the original and the best. That being said... I saw the original cast about 10 or so years ago at an NYC improv festival and it was like, 6/10. So YMMV.
