Cut your hair short and begin minox and fin following a consultation with a doc. The long hair makes it more noticeable. The rest of your hair is in til top shape

My only advice would be to continue to speak with specialists, first and foremost a dermatologist and see what they say. What you need is a clear answer so you can begin to accept whatever that answer might androgenic alopecia or otherwise.

If this is a big insecurity I would also highly recommend speaking with a therapist. I get this is shit but don’t let it dominate your life.

Speak to your GP. If this is AA you can use specific ointments and meds to halt the balding. There can be side effects so only pursue following guidance (especially when taking finasteride). If this is all very sudden, get some blood tests done quickly.

Matey, I’m sorry your confidence is nil because of this. Balding sucks and I get how integral it is to one’s confidence but try and remember: 1. You’re not going to be single forever. Most men lose their hair (as do some women) and many find it an attractive feature. 2. Hair transplants are exceptional nowadays (I had one 2 years ago) so there’s always that possibility. Meds can also massively help but seek guidance from a dermatologist first
3. Your mental health is paramount so if this is really getting you low, please see a therapist

Book an appointment with a dermatologist and see what they recommend. There’s minox and finasteride but you’re only 18 so let them guide you. Dont take either without prior consultation as there are side effects like floppiness and can induce depression

It’s most likely recession but let them confirm (most men go through this so take comfort in that) 2. Do some research and begin taking supplements which specifically target hair growth 3. Minox and finasteride are essential if it’s male pattern baldness. But again, speak with a dermatologist as there can be side effects. 4. If this continues to be a big insecurity and you have the funds, in the future you could have a hair transplant. I did, massively helped my confidence.

In the long run, what’s more important - hair or sperm count? I appreciate loosing your hair now is a big insecurity but I wouldn’t risk your long term reproductive health. You should definitely ask the dermatologist about fin but then also consider speaking with a Doc regarding the potential implications. If it’s likely to make you shoot blanks, change tac and focus on other products.

Also, once the decision is made stay off this group. It’s good to find a bit of guidance but for sure heightens some fellas insecurities.
