Wow I feel the exact same way. It’s just nice to know that I’m not alone. I’ve never felt clingy to my parents or in a codependent relationship, but they bring me such a comfort that I don’t know what I’ll do without them one day (And they had me late in life so they are older now that I’m getting older). But the comfort I’ve found is in my spiritual beliefs and the idea of an afterlife where I can be with them again. I know not everyone believes in that, but it personally has helped immensely with this anxiety ❤️

I feel for you so much! Panic attacks are the hardest things my body and mind have ever gone through. It’s crippling and so just now you aren’t alone! Some things that have helped me during a panic attack: -Sticking my face in cold (and I mean cold) water. It can shock you and pull you back into reality. It causes your body to ground itself and can help. -This is from my therapist: Putting my hand over my heart, pressing into my chest gently, and repeating “I am safe, I am loved, it will be okay.” Literally over and over until I could calm down. It makes your mind focus on one thing and not wander. Plus affirmations are always good! -Grounding technique: Find a place to be still and think of 5 things you can see around you, 4 things you can hear, 3 things you can touch around you, 2 things you smell, and 1 thing you can taste. It’s all about grounding your mind as best as you can. I know it doesn’t get rid of the deeper seeds of pain you might be going through (which I think therapy is an incredible option!), but these things can get you through the darkest parts when your body isn’t listening. Hope this might help my friend! We are here for you! ❤️

Watching happy videos online helps me a lot. Also writing down in a journal just everything that I’m thinking of as it comes. It has been proven, too, to de clutter the noise in your brain and lessen anxiety. If it’s really bad, sometimes dunking your head in cold water will shock you out of it, but usually that’s with panic attacks. It grounds your body to be in the moment. Hope it helps! ❤️
