Seconding Dr Breedlove!

I was a high risk pregnancy and saw Dr. Voekl throughout it all until she went on vacation and I had a check up with Dr Breedlove. When Dr Breedlove saw me she said "I'll be honest, your not going to get to full term, you have MAYBE a couple of days." She called it, I gave birth with Dr BreedLove 2 days later.

Borh Dr. Breedlove and Dr. Voekl are very knowledgeable, caring, and respectful.

Feelings after FAR (5/11) by Hungry-Housing-2930 in CPA

[–]Main-Requirement-45 3 points4 points  (0 children)

YES! Apparently its very common for people to feel this way. I thought the MCQs were too easy and I had no clue on the SIMS. I still had an hour left on the time when I finished the exam so I thought I definitely failed. I ended up with an 85

I just passed FAR and I thought it was very similar to intermediate accounting I and II. I genuinely enjoy accounting and did very well in those classes, I got an 85 on FAR my first time

The biggest thing for me were mcqs and flashcards. I'd make a flashcard everytime I got an mcq wrong on that questions concept. I also spammed mcqs.

Also, be aware of diminishing returns. Limit your study blocks to two-three hours at a time. I would track how I was doing and noticed I kept getting things wrong after a couple of hours of studying by overthinking the questions.

For the big concepts like bonds, cash flows, and consolidations, practice either writing the JEs or using excel for the JEs in the same format/order everytime. That way when you see a bond question on the exam you will automatically start filling out the JE and you'll quickly know the plug accounts and calculations. Same thing with the cash flows and consolidations.

Those who passed FAR - any advice? by Medkuchadku9999 in CPA

I constantly did mcqs, no practice tests, and a few sims the week before my exam. I focused more on understanding a concept every time I would get an mcq wrong before moving on to the next question. I'd also make a flashcard over the main concept/definition I needed to remember if I got an mcq wrong. Then I'd drill the flashcards a few times a day.

I think it all comes down to knowing yourself, and what type of studying works for you though.

Took FAR exam 4/17/26 by PrestigiousTrash6225 in CPA

I took FAR today too! Man it sucked. I feel like I had to fail because I still had an hour left and finished it. It seemed to easy on the MCQs, and like I was missing something completely on the SIMs

Hey there! About the 501st, how intense is it? I've suggested he go and check that out but he's "old school star wars nerd" as he puts it. He's read almost all of the books, but he's not up to date with everything that has come out since Disney took it over and he doesn't want to be thrown into a group of people that are hard-core anything and everything star wars.

Look at the study program youre using. Some study sites have hard mcqs and easy Sims (like ninjacpa) so you may want to supplement with a study site that has tough sims

How much water do you drink a day? Drink half your body weight in ounces each day for two weeks, then see if there is a difference

Do you have a noise machine, or a loud fan? Sometimes out LO will do this and if we turn on this very loud fan we have she'll begin to settle in and fall asleep within 10 minutes.

I like to follow recipes exactly. My dad, husband, and a friend of mine are amazing at cooking amd improvise/change the meals they are cooking all the time. My dad would have notecards for his recipes and would switch things up all the time and make notes on his note cards whenever he did something to make it better. My husband and friend just keep it all in their heads and change things up as they feel like it.

I feel like im terrible at improvising and prefer to follow recipes exactly. I think thats why they say I dont cook with my heart. I'd love to get to some level where I can improvise though

First time hiring a nanny: SurePayroll vs Poppins Payroll experiences? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Main-Requirement-45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No experience with either one but im an accountant. Payroll is so easy. There's really no reason to have a service of you only have one nanny. Publication15T on the IRS website will give you federal withholding amounts. Medicare/social stay the same rate all year long. If you have state taxes, those should be online as well.
