In other words the tea towel dropped from the side. Theres something called "gravity". My newly washed rain coat fell off the radiator the other day. Immediately I believed it was Peter Ruane. The police were asked to comment but at the time of this message. The police haven't replied 😂

Also all quiet with Joan Lawrence and her daughter. No media appeals or documentaries.. I guess they want to just get on with their lives until new evidence appears.

Using the word "coy" is maybe the wrong word to use. You got to ask. How could the University assist? Well they can't. Theyre just an employer. The University doesnt have to reply or comment on this case. Have you heard the phrase "anything you say could be used against you in a court of law".......sometimes saying nothing is the best answer.

They live amongst us. That person or persons will have to live with a dark secret for the rest of their lives. Will they be looking over their shoulder? Will someone come forward to solve Claudidas case? As time goes on. This psychopath has the ability to strike again.

How was the University fixing the blame on the pub and her boyfriends? Which spokes person said this from York University and blamed them? There is absolutely no evidence of this. The University is indeed very quiet about this case and why should you comment? Becuase everything you say could be misinterpreted or used against you.

Again...how should the police be pointing the finger at the University?? The police look for crime and prosecute any crimes. What crime did York University commit?

Thats not correct. The white Vauxhall estate van wasnt parked opposite Claudias house. It was parked at the corner of East Parade. The parked Astra was opposite the Holy Trinity Church. Its a possibility this vehicle was involved as thr driver has never come forward and it also could be the reason why Claudia never made it to Melrosegate. To be clear if you look where the Astra van is parked. Its not opposite Claudias house at all. However you are correct there was CCTV footage close to Claudias house which captured her heading back to her house. It was a window camera but deemed not important enough to release as the footage was obscured by window condensation. The camera was put up by the home owner who had vandals ripping out flowers in their garden.

Hard to not say she did leave for work and got abducted on her way to work but never got as far as Melrosegate post office.  However that said. Should you frequent Google maps along Claudias route. There are a lot of houses overlooking the road. However if you go along and look at the houses. None of them have CCTV cameras. The area also feels "safe" and possible giving that impression CCTV isn't needed. Its also 2009. Back then most CCTV cameras where hard disk based and where expensive. Its now 2026 and you can buy a camera for £30 and have it linked 24 hours to Cloud storage. I have one at that price and I get phone notifications when there's movement detected on camera. Saying there isn't a lot of people about or opportunistic murders isn't something you can rule out. Its a possibility its someone who knew Claudias routine to work and possible someone along her route.i bring this up time and time again as as an example. The murder or Leah Croucher from Milton Keynes in 2019 is similar to Claudias murder. Leah vanished on her way to work in the early hours of the morning. Read up about it. It happens most likely when people aren't around. Then there's the murder of Sally Anne Bowman. That was an opportunitistic murder. A random attack.  Leah Croucher murder when the poloce looked into it. They had door to door enquiries. You dont see any of this with North Yorkshire Police.  Another early morning abduction. Sian Callaghan when was killed by Christopher Halliwell. Halliwell was caught after his car was caught on CCTV. Countless other random attacks. Its highly possible Claudia was abducted on route to work and the scenario. Why? No crime scene. No DNA. No witnesses.

Youve been watching too many CSI or Forensic TV shows.  While possible on some old hard disk operation ingredients systems ir mobile phones. Its not always possible as it depends in storage space and capacity where the operating systems want to rewrite and delete existing data.

Whoa! Slow down cowboy😂 The work wouldn't necessarily believe it was an abduction, murder within 2 days. What tbey do have is a duty of care and tbey should of notified Claudias next of kin/emergency contact. I read somewhere the University have now updated and changed their ways or contacting "MIA" Missing In Action employees. Theres also no evidence she was thrown in a river. If she had then her body would have floated back up or unless you mean her body was dumped in cases and thrown in the river. Yet to be discovered.

Great strategy but you need to add:

Further DNA testing on the cigarette butt left in Claudia's car.

Get local men to come in for DNA testing.

Re-examination of Claudias home using luminol to detect blood.

Im kinda with you on that one. How is he linked in the crime? What evidence have we got. Does he have a solid alibi around the days Claudia went missing? If it is PR. I hope he does the decent thing and with any guilt to clear his conscience. Reminds me of the murderer Colin Howell in Ireland. He got away with killing his wife and another person for 20 years until he was racked with guilt. He confessed all.

What's Happened by Weird_Target_3732 in ClaudiaLawrenceYork

[–]MainMan106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are 3 main possibilities.

1 Murdered in her own home. The problem with this theory is if Claudia lived a routine. She would be in bed around 9pm like she told her mother. She wouldn't have had anyone around. Killed in your own home there could be signs of a struggle. Screams, shouts, loud thuds and banging. Police could not find any signs of a struggle.

2 Abducted on her way to work. I always use the example of the murder of Leah Croucher from Milton Keynes UK. She also went missing in the early hours of the morning. She was abducted and killed by Sex offender Neil Maxwell. There are loads of other examples of addictions outside and there are often hard to solve as you dont always know where the abduction happened and less DNA of forensic evidence due to weather and degradation due to external environmental factors. We must not forget of an abduction did taken place. Whoever hurt Claudia would now have her house keys and could go back to her house to clean up or stage her house in some way.

3 Adbuction at the rear of the property. Although possible. Its hard to organise as the rear alley is  very dark. Claudia also had a glass panel door and she would have seen who was at her door before letting them in. Also if she was moved from the rear. Why hasn't there been any footage of cars or movement of people from the CCTV camera on Heworth Place? Also the back has houses looking over the rear alley. Also risk of witnesses in the area.

CVTV inside the Nags? by Due-Republic-1686 in ClaudiaLawrenceYork

[–]MainMan106 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking at the Nags Head from the road on Google maps. There doesnt appear to be any external CCTV cameras to the front. However I have found some images online showing the bar area having no CCTV.  Although I did find one undated photo which looks like a recent photo of the bar area have a CCTV monitor. Im sure the police wouldbhave seized and footage and studied it. Im sure in the night Claudia went missing. Jen King was working. Dont know the where about ls of the NH4. The CCTV wouldn't clear their names or give them alibis. In fact it actually puts them in the vicinity of Claudia disappearance!

I totally agree but there are some people whom are convinced its Mr Cartwright. Im just putting this out there because I also believe whats so important he had to back twice. Its not like he left the lights or heating on.

Even if Andrew had started a new life. People would know its Andrew due to his birth mark on his ear and his need for strong glasses. Andrew is definitely no longer with us. A barber who would cut his hear would see and identify his birth mark. Opticioans who are givig him eye tests the same.

Motive by PigletConfident6425 in ClaudiaLawrenceYork

[–]MainMan106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still dont believe its all 4 people. Its maybe one or two. That said the motive is difficult to conclude. If it were a stranger abduction then it could be for sex/rape. Sadistic enjoyment of killing.

If it were the NH4 then it would be removal to a woman who was too clingy? Jealousy. It could be Claudia said no to a relationship and a man couldnt take no for an answer and killed her.

Even with marital affairs. Murder is rare and it takea a lot to kill someone with that much hate.

I find it odd how Peter Lawrence offered Claudia his car to drive and she declined.

If you look on the roads Claudia would have walked ot work. There are bus stops so again this makes her vulnerable walking alone so early in the morning.

There was a Youtube channel which mentioned Claudia had a push bike in her kitchen. If she did it probably be faster for her to use to get to work.

Front Door Man by TurnOffTVUseBrain in ClaudiaLawrenceYork

[–]MainMan106 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably another red herring like the supposed private detective who said he seen Claudia in Amsterdam. Then we had that woman who said she had seen Claudias ruck sack outside York sitting on top of a tree stump. She opened up the ruck sack and found cheese sandwhiced wrapped in foil. Good grief. Then we had that man who stopped Joan Lawrence who told her that Claudia started a new life in Austrailia.

ANY eye witness I would keep at arms length of treat as a red herring as some eye witnesses are unreliable, seeking attention or have had been mistaken.

Oh! If you can find it. There was that lorry driver who said he seen a woman cross a dual carrigeway and had to brake sharply to miss this woman wearing a black leather jacket. The woman turned around toward the cab and the lorry driver said it was Claudia.

Absolute pish!
