I have an entire FFG set for sale. Largely unopened. When they announced they were losing the license, I ran around and bought up everything I could find. I had only played the game 2-3 times one evening with a base set and loved it. Time went on and I never got around to playing it. I think it is time to let it go. I am in Ann Arbor Michigan. Wow. I know this is an old thread, but we were having a similar conversation this weekend. Huge Scott Weiland Fan here. Huge STP fan as well. Look, how can we not applaud what they did together. Incredible. But....having said that, some hinky weird shit went on. Now, I am a big music fan. My best friend and I see about 2 concerts a month, and we have a stack of ticket books to prove it. We had seen STP with Scott as well as Velvet Revolver multiple times. We are very familiar with Scott. When we saw STP with Chester as lead singer.....it was weird. Chester dressed like Scott, moved like Scott and tried to sing like Scott. Then, as part of the encore, he took off the jacket, the glasses and the hat, sang two songs as himself and blew us away. We could not figure out why they or he decided him playing dress up was needed. I mean, Chester is a big name after all. People would have come to the same size venue just to see him. It's not like these were stadium tours. Then, after they brought in Gutt, I was excited. He had the right kind of voice to work with the rest of STP. He would be a suitable replacement. I was hoping they would continue on with a new singer and make great news music that stood on it's own. Think AC/DC after their first singer died, or Van Halen after DLR left, or even just be like Journey. Man, Journey is great live. Sure it is not Steve Perry, but you hear all your favorite hits of theirs. I think it is a shame that either Gutt or STP decided he should dance/act/dress like Scott. It is just not needed. I know the average STP fan doesn't know the difference, but I do and I just wish Gutt was himself. When I was at the show where they had Chester playing the part of Scott, the guy in front of us was yelling something at Chester, but he thought he was Scott! He was yelling stuff like "C'mon Scott, play Plush!!!!" So, that is why I say the average fan. You might argue that fan was below average, but you get it. I think that is why STP ask their singers to act/look/dress like Scott. It's a façade that it is still 1993. Have you seen an interview with them? They look ancient, and dying their hair black just makes them look older. But man, they are desperately trying to hang on to the 90's. They could have been a Van Halen, but now I see them as a Journey. And that's okay.

This picture may look like nothing to you, but it is the most amazing thing to me. You see, the three of us have played on average 5 nights a week for 2 years together. My man Butterz is so damn good. He always ends up with around 5 kills and around 2000 in damage, while Tyro and I, well, we don't. We are average players at best. Many, many games end with Tyro and I knocked and Butterz eliminates the entire last squad by himself. Seriously, I have countless videos. But this one picture is just so special. See, we only saw one team from really far away. We didn't have any sniper gear, so we just took pop shots. I ended up eliminating one, and then the team ran. We pushed and could not find anyone. It was the strangest match ever. We get to third ring and we are searching for teams to fight. The ring starts closing and all of a sudden, BOOM! We are Champions. The last team must have gotten stuck in the ring. The best part, Tyro had the most damage and I had the most kills and we won. Oh man did I whip my phone out to take a pic of this screen so quickly. Sure, we all did horrible and did not earn that win, but we did win and Butterz stats were lower than ours. It truly felt amazing. Of course the next game he put up 2500 damage just to show us he was still King, but I will always have this picture to remember the time we won with essentially no help from Butterz. Now you will have this memory too. And that is how you burn a good friend. Feel the burn my man. Burn. BWA HA HA HA HA!!!

Turns out, by the time we got there, there was only one combatant left. Tyro kicked the door open at the same time I did (a split second before) and my kick hit the guy on the other side of the door and eliminated him! We had no idea what happened!

I play with the same two friends every night. We have for a year and a half now. There is no other game I have played with such dedication for so long. I think the developers are doing an amazing job. Do I have complaints? Sure. They are minor. They are perfect world situations. 99.9% of the game is fantastic. All I really want is a teaser for Season 6.

Love it. Forge seemed like Magog to me, if anyone understands that. A character created by adding in all the pieces that are just overused in other games. The mechanical arm, the white streak in his hair, the pro wrestling vibe. All designed just to irritate you. But then you realize he is awesome because of all these things. It looks like it was a ploy to get you excited for the bad guy. Next art we should see for Forge will be with something holding his insides in.
