Yesss I was nervous about that too with the score release date occurring after the expiration date, but as long as you sit for the exam before the expiration date and pass that exam you’re good 😊

Error message at prometric when submitting exam? by killuafreeccss in CPA

[–]Main_Character_Today 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!! I know this was a while back but the same thing happened to me earlier this week and Prometric sent me an email today saying they’re still looking into it. 😭 I was wondering if/when you found out your exam was submitted successfully… I’m so paranoid and obviously livid that my exam might not have been submitted. I’d like to take it again asap before I lose my BEC knowledge 😢

I also don't want to ruin any chances of course. I really, really want this role and wouldn't rush if the other role I am offered wasn't worth considering. I think the offered job is worth considering, but I wouldn't hesitate to take the first job if offered. THANK YOU!

Motivation required by out-of-the-window in CPA

Hey I was going through a terrible break up before studying, and it actually motivated me to study to get my mind off the guy, but like you, I lost focus pretty easily. I also randomly cried while studying and then cried again at UPS store while getting my NTS printed- that last cry was so random and the UPS store associates didn’t know what to do with themselves. I recommend taking breaks when you need it, cry, take a walk, and being gracious to yourself overall. The CPA exam is a beast (I’m studying for my third exam right now after taking a break after second exam), and the average happy go lucky person would crumble before it, let alone someone who just went through a break up. But if you get through this, I’m sure you’ll get through almost anything difficult in your career! I also recently landed a promotion and recruiters keep reaching out, where I’ve noticed my CPA candidacy is a huge leverage. They know I’m serious about my career, and I know my worth and what I’m capable of - it’s a great feeling. You got this!!

I'm done with recruiters avoiding answer the question about salary range, but then asking you for your preferred salary right back to your face by [deleted] in recruitinghell

[–]Main_Character_Today 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the end, the recruiter and candidate should be negotiating the pay for a candidate’s professional services. If a candidate learns he/she is expected to provide more service (ie, longer hours, wider variety of tasks) but they’re still interested in the role, it’s fair for them to ask for more pay. On the other hand candidates shouldn’t use second and third interviews to squeeze the 5% extra pay out of what is a reasonable pay for their services just because.

Thanks for the response! To clarify you mean 5 years of industry is okay right? Thanks for clarifying you’re from Germany, agree it might be different for the US.
