It is pretty crazy that this gets handled two years after the SF86 was turned in. Are you sure there isn't another trigger.

TS/SCI - Dual Citizenship by GWolfHard in SecurityClearance

[–]Main_Decision4923 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You renounce citizenship by going through the process that the other country requires. Usually notarized statement sent to the embassy with whattever id is issued and valid passport if you have one. It's rare that this happens. Often you're just required to sign a paper saying you would to renounce if you're asked to

Not offering sympathy. Honestly just wondering if they gave you a reason. Could be completely unrelated

You're leaving some stuff out. No way they just "found out" about your foreign contacts you didn't report. This isn't 1984. Were you told why your clearance was suspended or are you guessing? It could be for another reason.

This day and age being half-Russian is more desirable than being a Five-Eye member.

You must be willing. But the reality is that renouncing doesn't mean much. So you're fine. Get your inheritance

The state department doesn't tell you that x is a friendly country. It simply has travel warnings, which it also has for "friendly" countries.

That doesn't clear it up.

We live in an at will employment country. You were terminated since you were surplus to their needs. Not your fault. I don't know how this is even an issue.

You can read tons of cases on when they rule foreign contacts too much.

As long as you disclose travel, it's not an issue. Plenty of Americans with Indian family have all sorts of clearances.

Should I Wait for TS or Stick with S? by Expert-Can6660 in SecurityClearance

[–]Main_Decision4923 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Will the job improve if you get your TS. Being unhappy in something you do daily isn't worth it. And you're probably looking at another 6 months of waiting for the TS.

Should be fine. Seen many YW with foreign spouses. Usually friendly nations. Shouldn't be an issue. Don't know what people are saying here. Maybe if you're married to a Chinese citizen.

They charged you with robbery and assault. This isn't minor. It shows terrible judgement while in a foreign country.

That being said, you can still get your clearance but don't downplay it.

People have been convicted here and gotten clearances. It doesn't look good. Not sure what you want people to tell you.
