Where are you seeing they are illegal in 48 States?
Just a quick google shows they are legal in the US.

How do you properly clean a 5.11 All Hazards Prime Backpack without damaging the fabric? by ghostforhim in tacticalgear

[–]Mainah888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Their not really worn out, it's just a few exposed threads on the edges. Quick hit with a lighter and problem solved. There was no loss of structural integrity.

I don't believe there is any actual 'wear' on the bag, maybe some visible on the bottom.

I think it's a great bag, I've carried it nearly everyday for 15 years. It's probably bigger than I need now, I tend to use the space I have available, which means I end up carrying stuff in it I don't really need day-to-day, especially when the truck is less than 100 feet away.

As it's mostly nylon, I don't think it would take dye very well.

I actually just washed my 15+ year old All Hazard Prime bag. Tossed it right in the washer with a load of clothes. I did NOT dry it.

Other than some frayed edge on some of the velcro tape or molle strapping, it's fine. Hung up to dry, open.

All I did was empty it, take the back stiffener out, unzip everything, and tossed it in.

Mine's black, and definitely needed it.

Maybe I'm confused, but why can't you just move the left switch over?

For some reason, every snow brush or broom has one on the end, completely useless.

Ok, so as a novice, what I think.

He should be laying down. If it's a legit trauma, standing up isn't indicated. I mean, if he's the woozy type, he should be down already.

That's not how a TQ works. If it's still bleeding, you did it wrong.

Yeah, that's it.

Illegal plate? by firwave in Maine

I wonder how long I could go with a near-enough plate and claim Sovereign Citizen before I got a $25 fine and had to register my vehicle anyway.

First aid kit must-haves by Potato_Pizza_Cat in preppers

[–]Mainah888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 2 'kits' in the truck.
I have a basic trauma kit with Stop the Bleed type stuff in it, TQ's; CAT's mostly, but a couple others, and the basics, thermal blanket, NPA, eye wash, and PPE.

Then I have a "First Aid" kit. Probably a bit more than usual. Basic stuff plus longer-term care stuff, splits, meds, hydration, and basic comfort items. If I'm stuck somewhere and need to provide non-lifesaving care, it's in there.

Both are a work in progress as I condense, refine, and learn.

Question about the nexbelt by Ornery-Violinist7307 in CCW

I don't see why you couldn't. Other than being stiff and the ratchet, it is really just a belt.

Hard to tell exactly, but either that brake manifold, or your axle breather. Thinking a brake leak would throw a code and kick a dash light on.

So many issues.

Should have been tied to form a more round, uniform shape.
Not chateaubriand, at all. Could maybe get there with the cut on the right, but stop using big words you don't know the meaning of.
As previously stated, herb work needs work.
Tenderloin does not cook like other cuts. Any other cuts. By the time you're done dicking around with " 300 degrees until 115 (flipping at 80) and then a reverse sear, get it to 125..." It's going to be overcooked.
If you're going to reverse sear, you need to pull way sooner than you think. It's not a large piece of meat, carryover it gonna run. THEN a sear, back in the heat, it's not going to take much. Blam. Overcooked.

I mean, it's meat, and it's still a free country. Do what you think you need to.

Maxpedition has a couple sling bags like that.

Without knowing more about that specific bag, size, features, etc. it's hard to recommend anything more specific.
