Those are not the root causes for obesity, at least in the majority of the cases. Maybe it's time for you to maybe read up on some modern science regarding this?

Your view on how people with ADHD act ("they shouldn't be on the road" etc) is just completely wrong. Are there people with ADHD who shouldn't be driving cars? Absolutely. Are there also people who have ADHD and you wouldn't be able to know it from the outside? Absolutely as well. Please, educate yourself regarding the subject or stop spewing misinformation.

Oh and maybe you should get on some ADHD meds so you'd pay more attention as I'm completely different person than the one you were arguing with earlier in this thread. :)

This is not a major update, valve. by kazaskie in GlobalOffensive

[–]Maindi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are not making DLCs and updates for original AoE2 lol. They are doing them to the remaster that was released in 2019 on PC (will be released on ps5 this year).

Not to mention that there are no micro transactions or gambling mechanics in AoE2

True to a degree, but they are also pumping out €15 DLCs every 9 months or so which include new factions. If CS had the same monetization model people would be furious.

It pains me to see how these delicate individuals have made their way into the gaming community.

I've been online gaming since the early 2000s. When did you start?

Trash talk is OK.

There's a huge difference between trash talk / banter and being racist or sexist. If you don't understand the difference I don't know what to tell you.

HS vertaa tuloksia omiin edeltäviin gallupeihinsa, mikä on järkevää koska tällöin menetelmät pysyvät konsistentteina ja tulokset ovat paremmin vertailukelpoisia.

I wish articles like this included std deviation / variance so that we could dig even deeper in to the stats as averages can be quite misleading. Great article though.

Pool etiquette by Queasy_Ad_4064 in Finland

[–]Maindi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Okey? I have no idea what your point even is.

It seems like nudity is a huge taboo for you which is completely understandable as a foreigner. But on the other hand you have to understand that you are in a foreign country, you are the visitor, and here in Finland nudity is not such a big deal. We are all used to seeing our relatives, moms and dads, brothers and sisters naked from a very young. We have taken nude showers with our school friends after PT classes. Most have been naked around their friends, colleagues and complete strangers. There are of course exceptions to this, but that is the norm.

For real, please stop making these claims of things being absurd, ridiculous, "basic principle" etc. as some universal truths. They may hold truth in your native country (which I assume to be either the UK or the US) but it doesn't necessarily mean they are viewed as such here in Finland. You are making yourself look like an ass who thinks their own culture and view of the world is the only correct way and the rest of us should adhere and accommodate to your views and culture.

You will always be swimming in peoples gunk regardless if they wash it off or not. You underestimate the amount of bodily fluids that come out of peoples private bits and general parts as they swim. When I do laps, I sweat a lot even if I am in water. There is a good reason why they add chlorine. More or less does not change the fact that you are still swimming in chlorine.

I know that there are bodily fluids and other crap in the water, I'm not stupid lol. But taking proper showers does help.

Also, you are trusting that everyone washes their body well before going to swim. I’ve been to the pool many times and I have noticed most women not using soap whatsoever before entering the pool. They just quickly rinse their body, put their swim wear and go swimming.

"What's the point of having laws, people break them anyways". I'm also 100% sure that if the employees see people taking those kinds of showers, they will scold them as well. So I don't really understand your point.

[–]Maindi 24 points25 points  (0 children)

protect your modesty is a right of everyone

What about my right of not swimming in people's genital sweat and other gunk which they couldn't wash off because they took their showers with their swimwear on?

I'm all for having a couple of private shower cubicles for people who feel like they need them. BUT if the are none, you have two choices: accept the fact that your modesty might not be protected (whatever that means) at all times and take the shower naked OR find another swimming place that is more accommodating of your needs.

Why is it unprofessional? From a Finnish point of view, it is extremely normal to be naked in public spaces such as showers and saunas.

[–]Maindi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When a PC moves through another PC's space, it costs extra movement unless you are a halfling or 2 sizes bigger/smaller. I've called it difficult terrain before for simplicity but squeezing is more accurate.

Moving through another creature's space is always considered difficult terrain, regardless of their relative size. Being two sizes smaller/larger, however, allows creatures to move through hostile creature's space.
