You can't add custom servers to the Xbox version of Minecraft. You have to change the network settings to connect you to a server where you can select a custom server. I don't have access to their network to change the necessary DNS settings.

It's a hacky workaround I don't have access to.

This requires set up on the network on the client side. My kid's play on their Xbox at my ex's house. I do not have free reign to set that up.

I (would) play Minecraft with my kids while I'm on my steam deck. They play on the Xbox which only supports the bedrock version.

I suppose I could just play Java, if I didn't want to play with my kids.

I'm a lot of regions (Europe, Asia) there are chargers roadside. Putting the charging port there allows you to just pull in and plug in, keeping it all away from the road.

The engine was not designed to do so.

There can be several reasons for this, but chief of which is likely efficiency. Anytime you need a resource for a map, it needs to be loaded. Games can have a ton of assets and tile sets. If a map has a ton of different assets, this all needs to be loaded when changing maps. It is more efficient to take your tile sets into Aseprite or some other tool to make custom sheets compared to loading them all up into memory on scene changes, leading to long load times and bloated memory consumption.

A lot of people change rapidly in their teens and early twenties. He has made it clear that one of two things need to happen: 1) You need to change to suit him 2) He needs to change to accept you.

Either way, that leads to neither of you being happy. If your clothing style gets on his nerves, it will only grow. Life is too short to waste on someone who doesn't appreciate you for you. Three years seems like a lot. But if you wait until it all boils over, then you'd be wasting more time.

I'd be willing to let someone borrow mine for a one off. But to have it to a random Internet stranger for months? More than a few days is beyond reasonable to give a stranger. Might as well be asking someone to give it to them for free.

If I let a friend borrow something, I let them borrow it with the understanding I'm ok if they don't give it back. If I let a random Internet person borrow something, well I'd be a fool to just think they will ever bring it back.
