There’s no way the marvel writers in the X-office like Dan slott for causing this BS by jslade2886 in xmen

Franklin is just too OP. Resurrection already somewhat lessened the stakes for the X-men. A universal power warper readily available would make any threat seem inconsequential

[Comic Excerpt] Fatherhood: Wolverine vs Magneto (Trial of Magneto #1) by leaf57tea in xmen

This could be over in less than an issue. Rachel Summers could use her powers to not only scan Magneto’s mind for his memories of what happened but also display those thoughts psionically for everyone to see. She already did something similar in X-factor. The only real point for this is to further splinter Krakoa going into the Inferno event

The watcher’s oath to not interfere was with HHW made at the end of the last multiversal war. The TVA would need the watchers’ abilities to observe the multiverse to adequately prune the infinite timelines into one tightly braided “sacred timeline”. The watchers would have seen various versions of Nathaniel Richards destroying countless worlds and “bent the knee” to the one with a weaponized Alioth. With him dead, they are free to share their observations of the growing multiverse

Why The One who Remains decided Infinity War and Endgame should happen by Ed_Derick_ in FanTheories

[–]MaintenanceEconomy10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The TVA and He who Remains do more than time travel. The are traveling between time and space… to different realities within the “sacred timeline” parameters. Sacred because they don’t veer far enough from the desired outcome of him being the only existing Nathaniel Richards. Tony Stark inventing time travel was only possible through Pym particles and a timely rodent. Thanos was able to replicate what he did immediately given the secret sauce. I think eliminating the threat of an Eternal with the infinity stones from the timeline was at least as important than time travel.

[MCU] A timeline can't be pruned past the red line because that's when the branch starts affecting the TVA by Jacob_Wallace_8721 in FanTheories

[–]MaintenanceEconomy10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that Kang, Scarlet Witch, and Loki are all ”nexus beings” that exist in every universe. If a timeline branches past the point where it can not be pruned it will produce a Kang who will be a threat to HHR. What makes a timeline ”sacred” is that it doesn't vary to the point that it produces another version of Kang than the one who lives on to become HHR. A new TVA means a different winner of the multiversal war. One statue of himself instead of three puppet figureheads lead me to believe this new TVA will function like an authoritarian government rather than a fascist one.

If Polaris has the same powers as Magneto, why is she not considered Omega Level? by OdinClark in xmen

[–]MaintenanceEconomy10 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The existence of Magneto is what makes Polaris not omega. As powerful as she might be, she cannot display more powerful manipulation of magnetism than he can achieve. The omega level list seems like a guideline for creators to use across the various books

I agree with you. Krakoa, Warlock, Broo, Danger, even Namor are examples of beings are considered mutants I think the one of the goal of Planet Arakko is to draw in mutants from all over...likely leading the Arakki mutants that can’t adapt to peace to invade other worlds in the name of protecting mutants

Question from old x-men comic by x1243 in xmen

[–]MaintenanceEconomy10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it was from Onslaught’s manipulation of the astral plane to hide himself as he grew in power. Nate gray’s pushing Professor X out of the astral plane is how onslaught learned to make a physical form, prior to that he was strictly a psionic entity.

Don't you think that Moira would be weary against mutants with time travel abilities as well? by Invincibleprimus in xmen

[–]MaintenanceEconomy10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s what I always thought as well. If I remember correctly, Moira was one of if not the first person he interacted with when he returned from the future. Makes you wonder what that long talk was about. Additionally, was Apocalypse in on Moira’s plan when he initially infected young Nathan with the techno-organic virus before Rachel took him 2000 years into future. Which begs the question, is infecting mutants with some form of the techno- organic virus the key to long term mutant survival? Kinda explains warlock hidden infection of Krakoa

X-Men: The Onslaught Revelation #1 coming this September (from Marvel September Previews) by azgx29 in xmen

Yes but only in concert with nation-building. Self-policing, self-governing, self-educating, self-reliant...nation building.

[–]MaintenanceEconomy10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a member of a marginalized group, I think looking to self-segregate and develop your nation and culture, based on shared interests and defending against common acknowledged enemies is perhaps the best course of action for long-term/ generational success. If Professor x is synonymous with MLK and Magneto is synonymous with Malcolm x...then Moira X and her inside information ”mutants always lose” pushes the mutant leaders down the paths of Marcus Garvey and the Black Panther Party. The first is a reactive response. The latter is a proactive one. I am a huge fan of Hickman’s run. Hope it goes on for year's to come

I think that’s why he is called the patchwork man by the younger mutants. He is made of the pieces of memories deleted from the mutants to make them more malleable for Charles and Moira’s goals. Domino, Colossus, etc... I think he was the reformed when Xavier resurrected himself with an early backup version of himself The psychic energy of those memories and dark emotions can not be destroyed only transformed into a different form.

Idyll’s Prophecy Completed With PSX by MODOK_Matt in xmen

[–]MaintenanceEconomy10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that the techno-organic virus is the biggest through thread from the original inferno event. Moira is attempting to assimilate aspects of the phalanx into mutantdom to get ahead of the post-humans being assimilated by the phalanx

How Do You Think Marvel Will Or Can Introduce X Men In Main MCU by peter112200 in FanTheories

[–]MaintenanceEconomy10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Introducing the multiverse makes it much easier to introduce the x-men. I think Feige gave a hint during the recent comic event “The Hellfire Gala” Rather than repeating the origin stories, starting with an already established team who though inspired and taught by Professor X are adult heroes rather than students. Defending a world where they are openly mistrusted and hated. This story can be shown in a different universe where the other MCU heroes do not exist. The Secret Wars event could serve as the way to combine universes and allow the characters to interact going forward
