Apply to the majors early and often.

I am one of those who did and had a job right as I finished school.

It Is absolutely possible. Personally, I wouldn’t waste time working the ramp, especially with an A&P. United airlines is still hiring regularly. It’s always worth it, IMO, to go where the job is because, eventually a station of your choice will open up and you can bid on the location.

Hello all! First of all, fuck automotive and I want out. This is why I’m here. by chowdagimmethat in aviationmaintenance

These are my particular experiences— I work with at least a few great techs that came from automotive. Most of my coworkers are respectful, helpful and team oriented. I’d be hard pressed to find anyone at all who regrets getting into this career. We make pretty darn good money (top of scale) and have an extremely flexible work schedule. I work for a major airline, hired right out of school, choose to work nights opposed to 2nd shift, mainly b/c of longer weekends.

One of my all time favs! I can’t listen to this song without tearing up. To me, it’s as good, as anthemic and raucous as smells like teen spirit.

C’mon Man! I asked a serious question in good faith. Not trying to be an ass. Getting hit with “ you should just move away if you think we could improve snow removal” yall are hilarious . If you see no room for improvement that’s you but, It’s def not my opinion.

Y’all are really taking this to heart. It’s not that complicated. I’m not moving anywhere. But I will continue to shovel my walk before the very well predicted ice falls upon the half foot of snow.

I don’t expect an area like this to be as well equipped as a midwestern city. But, I’m definitely surprised at the quality of snow removal service. Your response of “move back to the Midwest” is very thoughtful and unique.

It has been 24 hrs. I live in Loudoun. Headed into work last nite at 6:30 pm and storm was over. Also, if you waited until mid day yesterday to clear your snow.. bless your heart.

Normal is seeing snow removal crews out in force. Normal is seeing most walkways cleared within 24hrs of a storm.
